"This is a great store for antiques! They have great sales every week on already low prices. The books are priced right too. Also have a very good selection of doggy clothes and merchandise for your cat or pup. I'm in here all the time and service is pleasant and nice. Proceeds go to FOHA which I used to volunteer at. I'd totally recommend."
"For those of you who are following Scooter, this photo is his debut on Fairfax Channel 10, on my show PetInfoCafe. His catitude makes him a star. Compared to cats accustomed to beauty pageants, he looks like a pro! He was ready to move into the studio and climbed into the bookshelf, where he rolled tummy up in the cutest pose. What a doll. I hope someone takes him home. The Episode will air March 9."
"This is a fun thrift shop -- lots of stock, tons of variety. And my experience with staff and volunteers has always been positive. I also love donating things here since I know it goes to help the rescue!"
"I've been a loyal patron of the Treasure Hound thrift store for the past 8 years, but I must say that my recent experiences have left me somewhat disappointed. While I've always appreciated their mission of supporting furbabies and their cause, I've noticed some significant changes in the store that have affected my overall satisfaction. Firstly, the store seems consistently overcrowded with merchandise. I understand they might want to maximize sales and support their mission through sales, but the abundance of items often results in a cluttered and overwhelming shopping experience. Some items appear to sit unsold for months, which makes me wonder if a more reasonable pricing strategy could help move items faster and generate more funds for their cause. I recall a conversation with the previous manager (years ago) who explained that lower prices were intended to encourage quicker turnover. However, it appears that prices have been steadily increasing, which contradicts their earlier approach. This pricing trend, combined with what I perceive as unwelcoming customer service, leaves me feeling less inclined to support the store. I believe it would be beneficial for the Treasure Hound to take the community's feedback into consideration. Swiftly rotating inventory could indeed lead to more sales for their animal-related cause. While I appreciate their mission, I hope they can find a balance that accommodates both their goals and the community's desires for a more inviting shopping experience."
"Besides recognizing the fine work of this business, a shout out to everyone who donates to this terrific cause. Also, you are donating some really great stuff. I've gotten art, and a few eclectic and antique items. Steve has a good eye and steers me new items that have arrived. Also, if you are donating, they make it easy with an access door to the side of the building. Don't be deterred by the "industrial-park" vibe of the location. This store has a highly visible spot right on the corner."
