"Just moved in and the staff have been very understanding with all of our questions. Savannah and Brittany have really been helpful. When a mattress was delivered and we were unable to get it, the maintenance folks helped by placing it in our apartment. Mike and Matt have been great."
"I write this review with extreme sadness and disappointment at the property management. The previous 1 star reviews are true and not exaggerated, and I want to join in warning any potential tenants of the Waterfront apartments. My family and I moved out recently after a 2-year stay and I specifically asked about cleaning as part of the move-out process. I was told that the most important thing is to remove all personal items and do “basic cleaning” and the apartment will be professionally cleaned anyways after our move-out. We received a long email with instructions that we followed to the letter. We still cleaned as much as we could just like we always did with prior rental apartments. We used vacuums and cleaning solutions thoroughly which removed everything apart from stains that can easily be professionally cleaned. While waiting for my security deposit I was struck by outrageous >$1200 bills for “damages” that are related to “cleaning” and superficial paint chips on the walls from stickies in the kids rooms! Their response was “we expect the apartment to be cleaned and all damages fixed prior to move-out”. Yes, you heard that right, they billed me for the regular wear and tear that should be routinely addressed by management between tenants, apparently expecting you to renovate and paint the apartment prior to moving out. Even worse, the washer/dryer were surrounded by disgusting gunk and carpets had discolored patches on our move-in which I reported by email AND via their move-in inspection sheet, and of course I was billed for those as well and sent pictures of them when I asked. When I informed them of those being present on our move-in and marked in the inspection sheet, it went totally ignored. I was also sent quotes of some sentences from the 30 page lease agreement, they seem to have a reply to everything. I was billed for damaged blinds which were, ironically, inspected by their routine inspection a month prior to our move-out and we were told nothing of such damages then. Parking is horrendous as previous people mentioned and there are many times when you won’t find a place for your car especially if you work late (especially in the last building 647, good luck finding parking there). I requested a garage and was told none were available. Management constantly harasses you with warning emails about parking in the fire lane and towing your car even when you park away from the fire lane (yes it happened with several tenants, you’ll walk to your car in the morning to go to work and you won’t find it!). Several of our neighbors reported rudeness of the leasing center in response to this. Their maintenance is a joke, they show up and say contradicting things and basically conclude by “nothing we can do about it”. Even worse, they sometimes complete maintenance tasks on the portal without even showing up. The only thing going for this place is the location which was convenient for our family, but man I feel cheated and robbed. Never have my family and I been placed in such situation with a clean and consistent record of being excellent tenants and friendly neighbors. With apartment communities thriving on word of mouth, this one clearly has no regard for reputation."
"Horrible management. I visited 3 times to find out the state of my security deposit and they said that I would be issued a new check once the initial deposit returned to the headquarters of Morgan properties. Now they are trying to back charge me for things that they did not inform me of and now want me to write them a check for move out charges. I kept that place very clean and I will fight their attempt to charge me an extra $15.00 out of spite for attempting to recoup my security deposit I was owed. Jackie is an inconsiderate manager and is very rude. Multiple neighbors at the property would say the same about her"
