"Now we have no hot water. All of my service requests have been marked as completed, but NOTHING has been done. I am in the first level of Hades, constantly il limbo. I am most displeased! I put in ANOTHER maintenance request yesterday, because I can't plug a regular appliance into the outlet in my bedroom. Nothing so far. Stay tuned... Tuesday- Nothing"
"I moved in and was told the backyard would be addressed. There were overgrown weeds from it being neglected from when it was not vacant. Our heating pipes are still not connected and our dishwasher was never operate able since we moved in. I had placed 4 requests and multiple verbal requests and just keep getting getting the run around or completely ignored. I had to do the backyard myself and my wife ended up getting poison ivy on her arms and legs. I do like the nice community feel and the parking is nice. I had hoped the reviews I read were wrong however it has just become a harsh reality of the truth that the management team is very poor about addressing maintenance issues. I hope this gets better in time."
"I was so disappointed with my experience trying to rent a townhouse at River Oaks. Every employee I talked to gave me different information and it was nearly impossible to get in contact with the leasing office. The worst part of my experience was being told that my application was approved, then getting told a week later that I had to resubmit everything. The entire process and service I received was terrible. Lastly, after paying 80$ for a background check and application fees, I was told they never even completed my background check. I notified the "manager" of the property that I was no longer interested and wanted my money back. Still, five months later, I have not received my refund. Disappointing to say the least."
"Feb 4th Edit: Maintenance is still quite poor. It seems that the fastest results comes through reviews, so here we go! Our house has had water coming up through the floor since early January. Not gushing, but consistent, which is still a huge concern for water damage. We put in a ticket early January and here we are Feb 4th. Its understandable that some requests would take longer to handle, but I find it hard to believe water (and now mud??) coming up through the kitchen floor would be a "low priority" ticket. We were able to bring this to the attention of the new person working the office, so hopefully this is resolved soon. EDIT: A new person is now working in the office at least a few times a week to my knowledge. I was even able to talk to her in person. To address the main point of my review below, service has returned to some degree. We will have to see how consistent it remains, but my household has had our work orders and other concerns fulfilled. I have increased my review to match. I'm still quite unhappy about the massive rent increase. I also wanted to point out that previous management charged tenants for a valet trash removal. From the time AION took over this cost has continued to be charged to us monthly, though they are no longer providing this service. Overall, the neighborhood is pleasant and very family oriented. The nearby park was even repaved, which was a nice improvement. Hopefully service continues to improve in timeliness and consistency, and we don't continue to see this 20% increase in lease prices yearly. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Service has totally disappeared since AION management took over. Our rent skyrocketed at about a 20% increase. There was once someone working in the front office, but they were never available. Now no one works at the front office, so we have to rely on AIONs automated "to whom it may concern" service line. Currently, my unit is waiting on a multitude of issues, including service requests, a lease update to include an agreed upon addendum, and services that we pay for that disappeared, such as having our trash taken weekly. BUT, they do have the time to replace a lightbulb in the auxiliary parking lot. And they have time to send out a notice that unregistered vehicles will start being towed. (I get it, but the residents are facing other pressing issues). To top it all of, here's a story. Our unit receives a notice on our door that AION is sending contractors to do routine work on our toilets and electrical box. Okay, cool. The contractors show up and say "Apparently no one was told, but we have to do some extensive work that will knock out your power for 3 or more hours." Well, my household works from home, so we rescheduled. On the day of the work, we lost power for over 7 hours. This wouldn't have been any issue if we had been warned any amount of time in advance. I would love to post great things. In fact, the neighborhood is quite lovely! Very nice neighbors, there's a cute little park nearby... its enjoyable! Its a nice place for families and AION allows pets now, so that has been nice. For now though, I feel its reasonable to stick to a 1 star review until we get any responses on these issues AND some reliability from management."
"UPDATE: After much public complaining and a complaint to the local health department, my security issue was recently addressed and is now resolved. However...It should NEVER have gotten to this point. It seems that AION Management, the owners of this complex seem to only respond to public ridicule. I've updated this review from 1 to 2 stars because there is still much improvement that can be made, but in the end my issue was resolved. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've lived here for well over a year. Since the new owners took over, this place has been destroyed. Rent was increased 20%+ as soon as renewals started. That's a lot no matter how you look at it. Maintenance requests are absolutely ignored. I've had a MAJOR security issue in my unit for MONTHS and despite numerous requests and notifications to the office, NOTHING has been done about it. Other maintenance requests are ignored or simply performed at a completely un-acceptable level. The office is open 1 day a week. Hopefully you don't need to talk to anyone there, because you need to wait in a line with all the other angry tenants to speak to someone. Management is completely absent and seems to only care about extracting the most cash from residents through petty charges while at the same time REDUCING services. While this used to be a great place to live, the new owners have successfully destroyed it. I will be happy to change my opinion if things improve, but so far tenants have received only broken promises. NOT RECOMMENDED! I get the impression that the day to day staff and maintenance workers are doing the best they can...they are friendly and seems that they try to get things done. It seems that the breakdown and ineptitude comes from the top down. It's truly a shame to see what has become of this place over the past year."
