Reviews of Mountain View Apartments
"They reported me to a collection agency after charging me for months after I moved out and they kept the security deposit that is way over the annointed of months supposedly owed, this is scammy as all hell. Also feel free to live here if you like living in a prison environment with cameras outside your door. Scamming poor people while getting your mortgage paid off by the government is REAL SHAMEFUL…"
"Their employees (maintenance people) are constantly stealing from their tenants and when you try to bring it up or try to ask them to show you cameras footage they will try to delete evidence. One of their maintenance men stole from me and I have been trying to get ahold of them , they won’t answer my calls or when they do they give me the run around and try to say maybe I gave my stolen items away and didn’t realize. How stupid does that sound . The lady at the desk was not helpful at all just seemed very uninterested, very depressed sad attitude wouldn’t even give straight forward answers. When we finally were allowed to see the camera footage it obviously shows their maintenance man coming in with an empty backpack then leaving with a full backpack a couple hours later with my game station cord hanging from their bag. The lady kept on trying to make excuses and wanting to pretend as though it isn’t extremely clear that he stole an item ."
"They did a bunch of renovations in 2016 and compared to other low income housing it's clean and safe but its still low income housing. maintenance does a good job for the most part."
"Anyone have corporates number sick of being told to make police reports when management should be on top of everything teenagers messing with vehicles and smoking in the hallways stealing packages. Not worth the rent to live here"
"Management has a nasty attitude and have no tolerance for even the smallest thing. The rent STARTS at $900 a month and goes up $25 a year. Despite them claiming to be a low income location they have very few sec 8 slots and no income based rentals. The actual neighborhood is filled with crime, even from the small children. No weapons are allowed and it doesn't stop gun crimes, robberies, or the occasional murder. Drugs are rampant, there's a lot of blaring music even at 3am, and people from all over generally scream constantly in the middle of the night. Fireworks are set off at random times right next to cars and the units. Maintenance man is awesome and friendly but the hired hands for mostly outside work are incompetent and negligent. They break something everytime they show up. Including a gas line. They break personal items and nearly broke several sliding doors by throwing logs at them. There is no privacy, even with blinds drawn, as most blinds are broken. People break glass bottles into the street and dump piles of garbage in the lots. Management changes the rules whenever they feel like without notice and wouldn't even let us read the terms to move in. They made us sign without knowing the rules. We had to wait 4 or 5 months with 3 requests just to get our rental agreement. And the office is almost never open, with only 4 days a week and limited hours that are wrongly shown on the office building. On top of everything, the entire neighborhood is infested with rodents and fleas and ticks. There's a ton of flooding in yards and sidewalks so the marshy areas bring heavy swarms of mosquitoes in summer. Neighborhood dog walkers never clean up after their dogs so piles of feces lying about on sidewalks is common. I highly recommend not living here. It's dangerous and noisy and you never know what you'll get in trouble for. They deceive you and threaten evictions for even the most minor things. Find somewhere cheaper and nicer."
