"The mushroom soup is so good! And their hot pressed sandwiches are great—we had the pastrami and the Rueben. We especially love their French baguette, because it is crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and does not kill your jaw to chew it like most baguettes do. We stock up on these when we go here. While I can’t speak to their pastries (haven’t tried them as they don’t look too appealing), their soft-baked cranberry orange cookie was very good. As was their triple chocolate cookie."
"Pastries looked fresh. Loaves looked large and crusty. Coffee was prepared quickly and as ordered. Seems like local places use less flavoring, so less sweet than the big chains, and I like this. A little dark inside and seating area was limited and a little oddly placed."
"Got an assortment of everything to go. Peach blueberry tart taste really good. Everything looks freshly made. A little pricey though but worth it."
"My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast before one of the local tours. We got a selection of breakfast pastries, the apple tart was by far the best! The cinnamon raisin twist was a little more bread like texture than I was expecting but still tasted ok. I did not like the chocolate croissant at all because it was so dry and flakey, didn’t have much of a taste to the pastry itself and the chocolate was so minimal and tasted almost bitter, the inside only had one line about the diameter of a pencil of chocolate. It was too messy to eat. After the tour we decided to go back and grab a sandwich for lunch. I had the pesto panini. It was quite greasy on the bottom but tasted OK, I got a side of the couscous and it was quite dry and lacking in flavor. My husband got the ham and cheese on a croissant with potato salad and he enjoyed both of those menu items. It took a little longer to get our lunch items because they were made fresh after ordering. I also thought the prices were a little high. $4.25 each for the morning pastries and $9.25 each for the lunch sandwich. The building itself was very hard to find. It’s tucked away in a corner inside another building."
"This is my new favorite spot to eat in Gettysburg! Simple ingredients done perfectly! I loved the atmosphere as well. The perfect place to grab a quite lunch, settle down and write your next novel, or pick up a perfect loaf of bread."
