"Rented an electric jack hammer. Got one for 4hrs. Worked well opening hole for sump pump. I'll be back."
"DO NOT USE UNITED RENTALS! They do follow through with their commitments and you'll be left without the service you've been promised. Our firm (the largest AFRICAN AMERICAN Financial Services Firm in the Philadelphia/Montgomery County area) called today for commercial heaters and were assured that if we arrived by 4 p.m. we would be provided with 3 heaters. Our agent arrived at 3:57 p.m. to find the doors locked and lights off. As a result our appreciation event for our clients was less than satisfactory and obviously very cold."
"Awesome people! I have a Dewalt miter saw that had a stuck blade. After trying all tricks known to men, I was still not able to take off old blade. I searched dewalt's website to ask for help and was given a list of facilities that can service my saw. First one I called, was out of business. Then I called United Rentals (who is listed as Norris Sales on dewalts website.) I took my saw in, and they told me they are now United Rentals and no longer in relations with Dewalt (but dewalt does not update their system.) Not only UR did not turn me away, but took pity on me and changed my blade for me (I got a new blade with me from HD) FREE OF CHARGE on the spot, without any wait. I am just blown away how nicely I was treated (and puzzled by Dewalt's service..i always thought them to be a decent company with product and service to match the price-tag...bit of a let down...but thank goodness for United Rentals coming to my rescue.) Thank you!!!!!!"
"Review of Norris Sales Company I am so disappointed in the juxtasposition of how this company advertises itself and how it and it's staff actually operate. The first day that the lift was dropped off I was told it was the oldest one that they had in stock. On a month rental, I was charged a damage waiver fee along with having to provide my own inland marine insurance, which essentially covers damages. When presented with the inquiry I was told that it's company policy. This is a cost that I took on instead of forwarding it to my client. During the first hour of operating the lift it shut off on me while I was alone, 50 feet in the air, and the cage tilted itself. The lift was then switched out, the next day, costing me a day's worth of work. The cage on the newly replaced lift would not swivel so a mechanic had to come out and service it, costing me more man hours on the job. A few days later the alternator on the lift began failing and we lost a total of 3 days in time due to it not working, servicing hours, and a swap out. I was told that they were down a guy, regarding mechanics and that I'd have to wait for it to be serviced and changed out. Mechanic showed up the first time to switch it out and never brought a key to start the machine. The most recent lift that they gave us ran out of gas after only a week of use and we were told that we had to provide our own fuel service. I would think that a 40 gallon diesel tank could handle being ran, on and off, for more than 7, eight hour days. If it were allegedly full when it was given to us. After being behind on the job (of which would have been finished within the 28 day rental) due to these problems: I had to request that the lift be rented for another month because they only charge by the week or the month. I was given a quote for $3600 over the phone then billed for $4,440.00. When I inquired about the cost I was told that the quote didn't include damage waiver fees, taxes, etc... When it's all said and done: contractors should rely on their vendors to, partner with them on projects. Not make them look bad to clients and cost them time and money. Though it may take a little more footwork on your end, I'd go elsewhere for your rental needs. It may even cost a little more upfront but in the long run it won't cut into your bottom line. These guys are going to do whatever they can to squeeze more money out of you with no remorse nor concern for future business. Giving you lifts that don't have a full tank then charging you to refill it upon returning the equipment etc...."
"This is the best construction rental company around. Fair and honest staff, very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to get what you need. I always have a great experience here."
