"Can't tell you anything about the apartments, we were at the Cakery for lunch. Great food and service."
"My husband and I lived at Copperleaf from the summer of 2020 through the summer of 2022. We decided to finally write a review by recommendation from our attorney (Quinn Law Firm) and because we feel we need to warn others of Palermo Reality and Copperleaf developments. Not so ironically, we also found out that our neighbors received a notice-to-vacate for no reason around the same time we did; they also lived above the bakery at Copperleaf. (Tl;dr: provided at end.) A note: every day except Sunday, between 3 and 6 a.m., the bakery we lived above made noise beyond a reasonable level for about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. When we first moved in, the noise was so loud, we thought people were breaking into our apartment. Although we were warned there would be some noise living above a bakery, and we expected some, this was beyond a livable inconvenience. (For reference, I lived in New York City for many years above a wine bar, and in D.C., and never experienced noise this loud in a living residence.) April 5, 2022: We call bakery around 4 a.m. to inform bakery of noise. We say we'll need to get township involved if they can't be more reasonable with noise. April 7: 30-day Notice-to-Vacate found on door • Property manager says that the reason for the notice is because we called the bakery below us two days prior and "threatened" them. She also states she doesn't need to give us a reason per our lease. I get an attorney and then proceed through them. April 12: We send email asking for extension of 30 days and property manager says yes to 30-day extension but states there will be ANOTHER notice to vacate in May April 29: We ask for a second extension because our new place of residence is delayed by their construction schedule. Property manager says NO and is unwilling to work with us. June 3: We send email to property manager about our intent to stay until mid June as we never received a proper second notice to vacate as promised by property manager. This same day, we came home to our INTERNET SERVICE disconnected WITHOUT WARNING even though we were still paying for it. We called our provider, and they said our property manager called and said to disconnect our service. June 9: we get an EVICTION notice stating we’re thousands behind in back-rent among other charges our attorney is NOT able to confirm or understand…it’s clear Palermo MADE IT ALL UP, as we have two years-worth of bank statements and receipts from Palermo to prove we’ve never been late on, or have missed, a rent payment. June 13: we clean and vacate the property, four days earlier than we paid for because we were fearful of further RETALIATION from Palermo such as car towing, locking us out of our apartment, or further UTILITY SHUT-OFFS. Our property manager Trisha Reeger made sure to make the experience as miserable as possible for us, harassing us throughout the move with random inspections, and even sent an INTIMIDATING email suggesting our moving boxes can somehow damage the pavement outside. Tl;dr: Palermo Reality has proven to be—at best—unprofessional and retaliatory, and—at worst—possibly unlawful, in their eviction of us from the Copperleaf Development, residence. We were good tenants throughout our nearly two-year stay and were NEVER even a day late on a rent payment despite the Palermo claiming thousands in back-rent and unclear charges. Despite our best efforts to obtain information from Palermo regarding retaliation, our internet shut-off, and the confusing charges on our eviction, we were met with SILENCE and passive aggressive tactics. We wanted to resolve this matter reasonably, but Palermo and the Copperleaf property Manager Trisha Reeger, made this IMPOSSIBLE for us. The morning of our hearing, Palermo WITHDREW and claimed there was no longer an issue because we had left the residence (nothing about the thousands supposedly owed). Note: We will not personally respond to any retaliation or response made to this review by Palermo or Trisha Reeger."
"Waiter slow in bringing out food. Open face they sandwich luke warm. Never came back too refill drinks. Had to wait for check. Never had this experience before here. Could have been an "off" day. Usually food is hot and servers attentive."
"I would give 0 starts if I could. FORGET about your deposit. Regardless of how nice you leave your appartment they will take everything away. Also after staying for several years and tell them we need to leave earlier they charged us for the whole year!!!! Build quality is trash. Problem is..it's erie and there is just not much options to go to...and management knows that...so they don't care"
"Decent apartments. Notice imperfections with molding and trim not lining up, pipe was leaking the first week we were there from under the sink. Drains were clogged in the bath tub and sink. Saw marks on the walls from the previous tenant before us. Also the bathtub leaked into our downstairs neighbors apartment from our drain. Snow removal is horrible as well. The dishwasher was leaking as well. Very disappointed with the property maintenance and craftsmanship of the apartments."
