Reviews of Duo's Taquería
"The food here is amazing. The lengua tacos are delicious, but the corta is not worth the $3 extra charge. Guacamole is very tasty, but if you want extra chips, they do charge for those. Everything is made fresh daily, and you can tell. The tortillas are delicious and hold together well when eating your street style tacos. Tge restaurant is very cute and quaint. Be very careful when checking out. I received my receipt, and was in the process of paying, when I finished entering my credit card info on the app you had to pay, my bill jump to 3 times the amount of the original receipt. I, of course, did not pay that amount, and the wait person came running over to the table to ask if we had all paid, and I said no, my bill jumped triple the original receipt. They added another tables drinks to my bill, even though I was in the process of paying."
"Absolutely fantastic. Get the tuna starter! It’s worth every penny. The tacos are delicious, the guacamole creamy af and the waiters are all super friendly, helpful and attentive."
"What a beautiful spot with fabulous energy! Those tortillas are no joke - by far the most delicious I have ever had. And the guacamole and refried beans were phenomenal. I enjoyed my oyster mushroom tacos but my husband found his brisket tacos to contain meat of a very low quality and he did not enjoy them at all. The tequila selection is amazing and drinks were delicious… when they came. It’s no secret the bar service is incredibly slow. On a side note, this place is also very family-friendly with clean and nice quality high chairs and lots of kid-friendly food!"
"This place has been the most authentic Mexican restaurant I've found in Pittsburgh. I'm from Mexico City and the tacos are extremely good. Everything is super authentic and the flavors remind me of home. It's becoming my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. Service is incredible and I love it that we can speak Spanish with everyone! Music and ambience is perfect as well. The one small thing I have noticed is that when we order drinks and appetizers, the food always comes first. You need quicker bar and drinks service!"
"Best tacos in the area. Was overwhelmed with the vast amount of options so had quite a few items with the lovely recommendations from my waitress. The lengua tacos were so tender and melted in your mouth, with the salsa wrapping the flavors up perfectly. The Al pastor taco also was amazing, having a nice balance of flavors. Not to mention the tortillas were fresh. Also had the ceviche tostadas that were a nice appetizer to begin with. Love that it had a lot of pieces of fish in it and the avocado’s creaminess made it even more delicious. And the highlight of it all was actually the coffee horchata that was so good. They use coconut milk and as a lactose intolerant foodie that was perfect. Not a big drinks person but the cinnamon and coco combo plus the bits of coffee was undeniably delicious and it wasn’t overwhelming sweet as some places have it to be. The people serving you there are also amazing, always checking in on you and being very friendly. Love this place!"
