"I graduated in 2014. I had a time lol. There was no wifi, cell service or anything within a 10 mile radius of that place. It was like being in a bubble. We would play all kinds of games in the woods and feed the deer from our dorm windows lol. I met some of my closest friends there. Although, there was a lot of drama between the floors in the dorms, and just random cliques, if you stay focused you'll get all there is to offer. I had A TIME do you hear me?! But I knew when to focus. I treated it like it was college, although it was more like jail. I went in at 17 and knew nothing about what college was lol. I got a high school diploma, CPR/a learners permit, & a security license in 6 months. That's only the tangible. The life long friendships were bonuses. The staff didn't bother me, because I didn't bother them. My teachers didn't teach, but I'm not an idiot and I knew what I went there for. I networked my way around the room, and we all helped each other get our stuff done. I did my dirt in the quiet, and left people alone. Its not a glorified experience, and the proximity effect is REAL. People get engaged, get pregnant, and all. But because you're experiencing life with a bunch of strangers who come from all walks of life, I feel like you experience life in a different capacity. No one who went to job corps, can say they came out the same person."
"Dont go here. Most of the staff don't care about you and when you do get there some teachers don't even teach. Mr. Ethan and Mr. Nick are the staff that really care. The students there are full of drama and you have to watch your back. It is like a prison with no escape. It has no structure and organization. Wellness doesn't care. They will just hand you pain killers and send you on your way. I don't recommend this place at all..."
"I went there in 79-81. Very good staff. Got my HS DIPLOMA and graduated 2nd in my class from the radio/TV course taught by Steven E Macy. I now have my own electronics repair shop. Would love to go back for a visit."
"Changing, but still a work in progress. There are some staff, that feel the need to give life advice, and monitor where the students are supposed to be, and when. That is not their job. I now have to record everything, because they will take the adults word over mine. I shouldn’t have to. Some of the staff here do not mind their business enough. We bite our tongues, and mind our own business, but that’s not enough for them. Not enough for peace. Not enough for comfortability. Not enough for professionalism. Do your jobs, and stop being this way, not for me, but for the future generation. Learning shouldn’t be this difficult."
"Worst place I have ever been. They told me that you were able to leave the campus as an adult. I was well over 18 going in. None of the courses were even there. And they refused to let me even transfer or anything. I also have chronic stomach problems that are manageable. They found it too difficult to accommodate I guess. If you decide to go there I highly suggest looking into them further and not just trusting what the recruiter tells you not everything they say is accurate at all."
