"The Cambodian papaya salad is a must-try as long as you can handle spicy. It kicks up a fiery storm in your mouth: so many strong flavors and ingredients that compete for your attention, yet you can distinctly taste each one, and they were all in balance. The oxtail and wagyu katiew is like if pho and pad thai had a baby: savory, mildly sweet, a tiny bit of heat and sourness. It makes sense as Cambodia is between Vietnam and Thailand on the world map. I’ve never eaten anything like this before, yet it tasted so familiar. Interesting and certainly worth a try. I still prefer the clarity of pho more, though. Service felt a bit inattentive other than when they helped with the menu, but they seemed understaffed that day. The waitstaff had to dart here and there to keep up with all the tables."

"Food was exceptional. Menu is not exhaustive but what they prepare they prepare exceptionally well. Also they were able to agonists my shellfish allergy preparing a chicken fried rice that was... chef's kiss. Service was great. We arrived late for lunch. Staff was attentive never rushing us even as they kicked up to prepare for dinner selection. Atmosphere is trendy casual. It's a smaller space so it could be intimate. We stopped in for lunch, but I would recommend setting a reservation for dinner, just to avoid not having a table. Note: parking in this area is historically bad, avoid the headache and do ride share."

"IDK where to even start with how AMAZING Mawn is. Everything is delicious and you’d want to try everything on the menu. The steamed clams in tamarind lemongrass broth was my favorite, the broth should be available on its own as a soup or side. We ordered the house special of the day which consisted of the Thai crab fried rice with uni, scallops, and crab meat. Then finished our meal with oxtail wagyu katiew. To top it off, our servers Isaac and Emmanuel were super hospitable and friendly, they made our night better. I recommend everyone make it here once as I will definitely be returning."

"We went on spur of the moment and we were lucky to get a seating. The service was friendly and gracious. Loved the iced coffee. The food is delectable with attention paid to detail in ingredients, flavoring and sauces. The skewed beef was tender, the crepe was flavorful and refreshing and the curry noodles warmed my soul. I grew up in South East Asia and love the balance in the way the recipes are tweaked, still recognizable and yet distinctive and taken to another level. That is not easy to do but Mawn pulls it off well. Clearly a labor of love! I especially love that the chef and owners are Philly raised! We will definitely be back!!"
