Reviews
"Love the Sunday hours. Olivia is wonderful. Patient reviewing my measurements and recommending LESS paint than I thought I needed. Although I have used Benjamin Moore products for 15 years, I was curious about new It's Bath and Spa as well as their Regal line. Olivia answered all my questions and demonstrated her knowledgeable about the Benjamin Moore products. Never flustered with number of customers waiting to s/W her either. Recommended store."
"I have been a customer of this store for several years, and I must say the service is fantastic!! The Benjamin Moore paints are superior quality, cover well without using any primer, and hold up over time. I love the small business feel of the place and have gotten to know the employees well. Kylee always points me in the right direction for colors, and I have never gone wrong. She has also lets me order ahead by phone so I don't have to wait when I come in for the paint to be mixed. Definitely something you can't get at a big box store!"
"My past experiences with this store have been great and Benjamin Moore paint is always great. But last week the guy behind the counter made some really offensive remarks to my wife. He seemed to be upset that he had to mix some paint samples. If you work at a paint store and a customer wants TO PAY MONEY for some paint samples you should probably just shut your mouth and mix the samples. Or you shouldn't work in a paint store. It is a shame because other people that work there seem to be normal and nice and they are also not sexist pigs. But this guy ruins it for everyone and we won't go back there. You should get Benjamin Moore paint at another store."
"I'm also surprised by the one negative review. I have been using Ben Moore paints (mostly Aura, which is fantastic) for over 12 years. I have been purchasing it at the Newtown Paint Store for 5 of those years & have had nothing but good experiences there with all of the staff. I've never heard of putting the cost of a smaller can towards the purchase of a gallon of the same color. Why would a store do that? Besides, a pint is technically not a "sample". They sell a separate smaller can that is an actual "sample" size (and way less than $30). I usually buy 2-3 of those in colors that are just a bit different from each other. I choose one and get a gallon and have never had a problem with it being accurate to the sample. The only time I had a problem was when I needed to patch an area of a room and couldn't exactly match the color it was originally, but that was because the paint had faded over the past 4-5 years (it's a room that gets a LOT of sun). I've also had The Paint Store match other manufacturer's colors or a swatch of something, every time with success."
"The worst experience I have ever had with any retail store over the phone! This is a Benjamin Moore store and we asked to have a sample made up of several lavender colors going from deeper to lighter. The lightest color we asked for was pink, not even close to lavender. We called and spoke to Kylie the supposed manager and she said the machine does not give true colors for small amounts of paint. So we said ok, we did not get the true color we asked for because your paint machine messed up. All we wanted to do was get a gallon but put up the $30 pint towards it. She said no and you get what you get. She said if we were not happy go somewhere else. I can see if we were pushy or trying to get the paint for free her being a jerk. All we really wanted was to put the $30 towards a gallon to see the real color!! We are going with Farrow & Ball instead"
