"When we first called to schedule the work they said they can come out the next day. We were away that day and could not have them in our house. Jack seemed upset we could not do it that day and said he would call us back to schedule. Several days passed and he never called. When my wife called and asked when they would be out Jack said "oh now you're ready for us to come out?" Not sure if he was a chauvinist or just having a bad day. The work went fine but after a while a gap opened up in the floor and the transition piece between the dining room and kitchen came loose. There were also several chips in the wood flooring. So not only is the work substandard but it appears the material is as well. I called Jamison to come out and take a look at it. Jack said he would come out next week. I waited six business days and he never came. When I called he said "I was on his list to call next week." Next week?!?! I canceled the call, I'd rather pay someone else to fix it then potentially have them warranty it for free."

"Jack comes off as a nice guy when he comes out to measure your house, but if there are any issues with the carpet after it's installed, Jack will drag his feet and avoid you at all costs. We had an issue and I had to call him each week, for 4 weeks, to find out the update. It has been 3 months since our carpet was installed, and he said he would call me multiple times, and never has. Horrible customer service. Avoid this place at all costs!!! Jack doesnt care about anything but money!!!!"

"This company installed sub-quality carpeting and padding. Our house was unlivable for months due to excessive off-gassing from the padding/carpet. My wife had to sleep at her moms and I suffered each night for months. The owner Jack gave us the run around after several phone calls to address the issue. His advice was to squirt chemical pine sol in our air ducts? Ultimately our situation never was remediated and we took matters into our own hands. The owner didn’t care, he had our money. We are complete suckers- avoid this thief if you can. Any other carpeting/flooring company would be a much better place to do business."

"These guys are great. We reviewed several of the local carpet installers, and we were told about Jamison Carpets by a friend who had a good experience. They were great - their pricing was more than fair, and the installation was perfect. They were professional and cleaned up everything before they left. Highly recommend!"

"The carpet install went fine, but the follow-up was terrible which is why I give Jamison Carpets 3 stars. I would not hire them again. Jack came to my house to measure my staircase and hallway for a carpet install in mid-April. At that time, we discussed thresholds between the hallway and bedrooms (which are laminate flooring). I said that I wanted thresholds because the laminate was uneven and the edges needed to be covered. He thought it would look fine with the carpet right up against the laminate, and suggested that I try it out; he said that if I didn’t like it, I could call him up and he’d have thresholds installed. That was my mistake. I should have pushed for what I wanted from the start because I called him on Monday, May 1 after his installer came on April 29 to say that I wanted thresholds. Even the installer that he contracted out said that I needed thresholds; the installer couldn’t do it because he didn’t have any equipment to cut a wood threshold with him. Jack said that he’d contact his “wood guys” to get me a quote. Two weeks later I hadn’t heard back, so I called him. He admitted that he forgot, and that he’d work on it. A week later, no response; he said that he had been especially busy, but I’m on his list. I talked to him on the phone a couple more times over the month of May and stopped by the shop but it was closed (the hours are wrong on his website). He scheduled someone to come, and then called me the day-of to cancel. The last time I heard from him was late May when he said he’d try to get someone to my house to measure on Tuesday, May 30. They never showed up and I never heard from him again. As I said, the carpet install went fine, but my hallway looks incomplete without thresholds. It was a headache to deal with him after the install, and I don’t recommend Jamison Carpets."
