"Took a pushmower in to replace a cable that engages the blades. A week later, after two calls they called, mower ready. Bill was $111.00 after I had already placed a $40.00 deposit. I asked if that was after the deposit and it took 30 minutes to try to find out. Eventually they took the 40.00 of of the 111.00. Total was still 111.00 but better than 151.00. Customer beware, dont lose your claim ticket with deposit receipt.."
"We sent original Morbark chipper knives to be sharpened and received knives that were nice and sharp but they were not Morbark or ours! Customer service response, "Sorry, can't help you". I do not recommend!!!"
"Purchased a Toro zero-turn riding mower and Scranton Grinder was the dealer it was shipped to for assembly. They assembled and delivered the mower 2 days earlier than expected and did a great job on the assembly. I've heard horror stories about people receiving mowers assembled by big-box home improvement stores and chose to shop (semi) local instead. Delivery was good and the gentleman gave us a tutorial and watched us both drive to make sure we were comfortable and had no questions. I will definitely be using them if future needs arise!"
"I purchased a brand new Power Washer online. It wouldn't start out of the box. Scranton Grinder is a certified repair shop for Generac. Upon their inspection the carburetor was faulty. After a little trouble, they cleaned and reset part to functioning new AT THEIR COST because fuel issues were not covered under any warranty! What companies do this kind of stuff anymore? For now on when I need a new item, can you guess where I'm going to shop? Plain and simple they are best!!!"
""Do you have a carb bowl o-ring for this?" "Yes." "Do you have an air filter like this for an old 1980s Briggs engine?" "Yes." "Do you have an intake gasket for a Tecumseh lawn mower engine?" "Yes." "Do you have a carb rebuild for this chainsaw?" "Yes." Do you have a new flywheel key for this?" "Yes." "Do you have a spark plug for...." "Yes." Either bring the old part in, or bring the piece it connects to. They will get it. Parts are typically in stock (plugs/filters/gaskets/etc), so you know what that means... ***You leave the store with the part in your hand, no waiting for USPS to deliver!!!***"
