"Mr. Zellers has really come through on helping me with receiving my Pa tax return."
"My husband’s family has been going to Bob Zellers for over 20 years. Bob sits down with us and goes over things before the work is done so we know what to expect. My previous tax preparer never did that. Our taxes have always been completed in a timely manner, and there are no surprises in the end. My mother has started using Bob’s tax service as well, and she is very pleased. We will continue to use Bob Zellers for our tax needs, even after we move to Florida."
"My husband and I used him for our 2019 tax return and we are astonished by how unprofessional this man is. To date we are still waiting for our return due to his continuous errors. We did file our return late because of the pandemic so we knew our wait would be longer. We chose to go with Zellers Tax since we had gone with him before. After dropping off our information, it was nearly impossible to get ahold of him. He filed for an extension but didn’t tell us until after the fact. We waited awhile longer and finally heard back via text message to pick up our paper work. After we signed our forms and got home we realized our return was prepared incorrectly. All of my husband’s information was correct, however, mine had all of my income correct with someone else’s name and social security number. When I called to address the issue, of course, I received no response. Finally my husband was about to get ahold of him after weeks of trying. He explained to me that his computer changed the information once he went to print but it was all E-filed correctly. He claimed it was a glitch in the system. Seemed a little fishy but we took his word it. We picked up our “corrected” return and put it behind us. This was in the beginning of October. Flash forward to February of 2021. We have decided to take our business elsewhere for our taxes. We were disappointed in the lack of communication and learned Robert Zeller is not even certified. Our new tax preparer informed us that it isn’t possible that a computer error would have printed our information incorrectly. He would have E-filed them with the wrong information. They explained he should have given us an acknowledgement form when our return was filed, which we did not receive. I called immediately to get to the bottom of the situation. He told me he would call back and of course, he didn’t. The following Monday morning I reached out to hopefully get a better understanding of what happened. He said there is no way he would have submitted our return with someone else’s name and social security number. I requested the forms our new preparer mentioned and he claimed he did not have access to them but would see what he could do. I didn’t receive a call back with an update so I called the following day. When he answered he explained that our tax return was rejected and he wasn’t sure why and still isn’t able to get my acknowledgement form or provide and identification number for our return. At this point I am furious. I told him it is crucial I get my paperwork to resolve this matter and sent a list of exactly what I needed. My husband is now trying to reach out to him and find out exactly what is going on. Hours go by and he sends my husband a small screen shot of an identification number. My husband then receives a nasty voicemail from Robert insinuating I fabricated all of this information. He then admits he did submit our return with the incorrect information and then submitted a correct one. Both of which the IRS rejected. Now we are at today. I called first thing this morning and left a detailed voicemail of exactly what I needed. After a few hours and no response, I sent a text message with the list of documents I need to sort out this mess. And you guessed it, no response. I am truly disgusted with this experience and hope no one else has to deal with this. This business should not be allowed to do tax preparation."
"We are pleased so far, no complaints and we have had him for a few years."
"Filed our taxes incorrectly in 2014. When we received notices from Fed's and State of Pa he did not respond."
