"I gave Altaquip which is now in that building a rating mostly at this point based on how friendly they were. I had a Duromax generator which served me well for nearly 12 years. Therefore, when it got cranky I bought a new one in July, same model. In about 3 or 4 months, the generator started to put fuel in the oil and I contacted the manufacturer and was told that I had to take the generator to one of their authorized service centers. Even though it was 45 minutes away from my home one way, I found a way to get my generator to this location. The generator supposedly has a 3-year warranty. As with many warranties, it does not cover replacement of general maintenance items, normal wear and tear. For crying out loud! The generator was only 3 months old and Altaquip told me that it needed a carburetor! And, by the way, that was not covered under warranty. I gave the okay for them to fix it and I got it back and guess what, it won't run! I've tried twice. I contacted Altaquip two times and left a message both times and have heard back nothing! Okay maybe Christmas gets in the way. Therefore, I sent an email to the manufacturer to see if they can get in touch with Altaquip about my concerns. We'll see if I hear anything from is them. In the meantime, I have a house that sump dependent and, if the power goes out, I have no way to get the water out of my basement. Okay, I did buy a manual bilge pump to help a little. In all probability, my experience will mean nothing to anyone but I needed to vent."

"I have used banner to replace almost all of the windows in my house. They used to have the best prices around and if you placed the order with the measurements by a certain day of the week, you could pick it up the next week. Totally awesome. On January 8th, I called in another order for a window and gave the measurements like normal. I was told 6-8 weeks for the window. I was ok with that. Today 2/24, I called about the status of my window and if able to pick up. They could not find the order anywhere. They called me back two minutes later stating they had the QUOTE, but not had not put it in their "ordering system". So the man, Josh, had emailed me the "quote order form" they filled out. It was even dated for January 8th and had the total price after tax. I told them to please order it ASAP. Not only am I upset that they did not order my window, but the way I was talked to on the phone was disappointing. I have never had a problem with them before until now. I did not get an apology about this and I was given some excuse that went like this, "I haven't really been here a whole lot this year so I don't know who you ordered the window with". Lesson learned for my husband and I: always get the name of the person you ordered the window with, no matter how many times you've ordered with them. So now my renovation project with my contractor will need to be on hold until the window comes in and here I thought we were organized with planning ahead with ordering the window."
