Piper's Pub

"So glad that Piper’s is back! They were very much missed over the last couple years. Great spot in the Southside with a ton of traditional pub classics, but they also offer salads, sandwiches and vegetarian items. When we visited most recently we went for brunch. It wasn’t super busy, which was nice, because if you go when there is soccer or rugby on tv then good luck! I had the onion soup which was tasty, although I miss it the old way topped with the Stilton! Then I tried the Chambersburg Pudding, which was fried chicken thigh and mashed potatoes wrapped in Yorkshire pudding and topped with gravy. Very rich but tasty. The traditional Cottage Pie is still one of the best things on the menu, and if you want breakfast food they do have boxty, waffles and some other brunch items."

"I moved to Pittsburgh about 2 1/2 years ago from Michigan. Since I've been here, this is the best meal I've been served in pittsburgh. I am a fish n chips connoisseur and theirs is possibly the best I've ever had. The fries are perfect and the mushy peas are amazing. The employees are very friendly and sociable. Great food, great atmosphere. Can't recommend them enough!"

"We absolutely love our visit to Pittsburgh and dining at Pipers just a cherry on top. Food was delicious and bloody Mary’s on point. Fish and chips is a must to order. Stop by and you won’t be disappointed."
