Reviews of D'Angelo Italian Market
"Fresh Italian sandwiches and a large selection of authentic Italian products. All the staff are kind and welcoming. The manager even came to check if everything was how we liked it."
"Happy Birthday to Derrick at our favorite Italian market, D’Angelos!! Jerry and I shop here once a week for our Italian staples which include prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sharp Parmesan, prosciutto bread, large green olives, cookies, spinach rice balls, risotto, fresh pasta, eggplant, pesto pasta salads, and their meat sauce!! Everything is fresh and delicious. Also.. the prices are reasonable and we try to bring cash to save on the credit card charge which all stores are imposing now. We get it.. we are business owners ourselves. We hope you had a fabulous birthday Derrick and thanks for your help yesterday!!"
"I love this place. I’m from Princeton so I’ve had the pleasure of frequenting this market for a while. Supporting family owned small businesses is so important especially now. The food surpasses any nonsense you can get from chain places or large supermarkets. I worked at the old Triumph for years and came here at least once a week. They have something for everyone and the desserts are especially my favorite but everything is amazing. I highly suggest checking this place out if you’ve never been. I recently had the tiger sandwich I think it was called and it was out of this world. And the orzo salad is a top fave too. :) keep being awesome guys !!"
"Our family shops here once a week. We live about 1/2 hour away but we make a special trip once a Week to pick up our kitchen staples and a few Treats. Our staples which I highly recommend: 1/2 lb - 1 lb of prosciutto (both domestic and imported are Delicious, I like when the speck is closer To the end so small slices.. that is how I decide which to get that week), fresh mozzarella, olives, bolognese sauce, frozen manicotti, fresh homemade pasta, rice balls (spinach is our favorite), and prosciutto bread. We also usually pick up Some Kind Of Cookies or wafers, imported Lentil soup, and some kind of prepared Food ..Eggplant, Tuscany pasta, mussels and shrimp or Their delicious margarita pizza (every Friday night during Lent!) anyway.. we are Italian with grandparents from Italy and D’Angelo’s cooks are the next best thing! The boys behind the counter are super helpful.. shout out to Haus, Joe, Derek, and Miguel. Sorry I don’t have more photos..we had a bunch of food prepared by them For Easter and everyone at dinner raved about the food❤️. Thank you!!"
"A great old school Italian market in the heart of Princeton. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was hit by all the wonderful food cooking inside. The menu was huge, and I wanted one of everything. I haven’t seen shrimp parmigiana hero on a menu since my days in NYC. So I had to order it. The guy behind the counter went to place the order and came back and told me they just ran out of shrimp, but if I waited 15, that would fry some more up for me. Yes, please!! It was just as I had remembered. Nice and fresh crispy shrimp, house-made mozzarella, and some great gravy. The missus went with classic prosciutto, fig, and Gorgonzola on a new roll. She enjoyed it and saved half for the next meal. If you are in the area or not even close, it’s worth the drive for a quality made hero."
