"Initially in 2015 Joe and Brittany seemed very engaged and knowledgeable, but over time, responsiveness started to get worse and worse. There were lots of excuses, which I forgave but it would inevitably happen again. Perhaps they are great for mid-size businesses for whom they do more work (and charge more money). But for small businesses, please beware. My companies got de-prioritized any time the firm got overwhelmed with work, personal or family issues. I would routinely receive fines for unfiled documents and they would state they didn't know. I'm still finding returns that were never filed years later! I severed ties in 2019 but recently reached out due to yet ANOTHER late IRS notice from the years I was with the firm, and I was told again they didn't know that was the rule. Oddly, I found several emails to Joe where I notified him that these needed to be filed. Such a disappointment. When you start a small business and hire an accounting firm, you want to be able to trust them so you can move on with running your actual business. If that's what you need, this firm will not ease your burdens of owning a small business, it will make them worse."
