"We have been going to H&R Block for years and usually have no issue. I had an appointment today, and I show up with my husband to be told they are only doing drop offs. Which would not have been a problem if the receptionist wasn’t so rude. As we were sitting there debating whether or not to use them we saw people going back and getting their taxes done. Also, we had called yesterday to ask for an earlier appointment, if they were truly only doing drop offs why wouldn’t they specify that? I will never go here again or recommend them to anyone."

"My husband and I chose here to do our taxes for the first time ever after we married and we saw Victoria. All went supposedly well. She said we’d get $2000 back. Then the IRS sent us a letter saying we forgot a form. I called Victoria and she said I never brought it and not to respond to the IRS because of the pandemic, “Just come in when all this blows over. They’re closing soon anyway so we can’t wait.” She said about a letter requesting a response in 10days. Her lack of concern and care ended up costing us $550 because that’s what we ended up owing instead of receiving our promised return. When we went back for help we went through the Newton office where we were actually helped by good people. We had our taxes done initially in February and it’s now December and we finally have our taxes figured out. So because she didn’t input one form (she had stapled it in our packet so she did have it to begin with, I remember going over it with her) we ended up owing the IRS instead of getting back, it took us 11 months to actually have a final answer on our taxes. She should lose her job and I’d never recommend going to her for taxes. Go to the Newton branch, they’re kinder and they stand by you and help you throughout the process"
