"We’ve used H&R Block for more than five years, and I’ll need to look for other options next year. We’ve been following up repeatedly for updates on our taxes and keep being told that there are delays because we work in NYC. This has never been an issue before and with the many people in the area who commute to NYC, I’m shocked they aren’t equipped. If you don’t work in PA- definitely do not go here! What is supposed to be a convenient service for relatively straightforward taxes has been anything but and at this point, I’m stressed our taxes won’t be submitted on time. I attempted calling a corporate line to address these issues but it was an automated message loop."

"This was hands-down the worst experience I ever have encountered doing my taxes. I attempted to use an H&R Block accountant, they completely neglected my account through the filing period and forced an IRS penalty against my name. The accountant ignored many of my requests to schedule appointments. The accountant then went on to fraudulently file my taxes without my permission and claiming over $100,000 in loss, which I DID NOT provide. Days after the filing period was over, I was pressured into signing documents as the taxing period was over and penalties were stacking up against me. Now, I am fighting against penalties and IRS audit. All of my financials are now trashed because of the loss the accountant lied about on my behalf. Each person I have spoken with so far has done absolutely nothing. They do not answer emails, they do not answer phone calls and they most definitely do not care about the well being of their customers. I recommend a toddler file your taxes before you ever consider calling an H&R Block firm."
