"All Ive ever heard is horror stories about this place. I went there for an intestinal issue and they told me I was fine (I was not) they told my mother her hand was fine (her finger was broken) my friend was also told that everything was completely normal with her (she was PREGNANT) this is just the tip of the iceberg. This place is completely useless I recommend Morristown but literally any other hospital would be a better option."
"Unless you are above 50+ years of age, avoid this hospital at all cost. I came in with severe headaches, loss of appetite, vomitting, extreme low blood pressure, and instead they told me that I came in to the hospital with abdominal pain because in a CT they did it showed that I had issues in my abdomen (from a PREEXISTING CONDITION I ALREADY TOLD THEM ABOUT). Off to a great start am I right? Most patients in this hospital are old. These workers act shocked when people who are younger don’t react the same to how they usually treat their patients. It’s literally like a fish market inside this hospital. There was no doctor coming in to give me any updates on my condition, just nurses who come and leave to do things that I have no idea what it’s for. Even when I asked, they wouldn’t tell me. By the way, they were treating me for meningitis (which i had no idea it was happening), and people who have meningitis are usually supposed to be isolated because it’s contagious. Tell me why I had a roommate during my entire stay at this hospital. Not to mention the fact that the IV they had placed in me was the SAME EXACT IV FOR MY ENTIRE VISIT (week and a half). IV’s are meant to be changed because of infection. Even after my IV was constantly leaking and bleeding, they never replaced the IV and my arm was swollen and in pain for three weeks after. The picture linked in this review is a different, horribly placed IV they had put in my hand (the one in my arm was still not replaced, this was just a second one). Also, they will send someone for any little issue you might have just to talk to you for 30 minutes and bill you for it. I have severe anxiety when it comes to needles. When they would come at 6 am to take my blood, I told the lady who was doing it that day to atleast count from 5 before sticking the needle. She starts to count, does it at 3, and then yells at ME because I MESSED IT UP and now SHE HAD TO REDO IT and gave the worst attitude, when the issue could have been avoided had she not been pissy about it and just counted for 5 seconds so that the patient could be at ease. This hospital literally left me traumatized to be honest, but going too much in to it is a little too personal. Moral of the story, you’re better off going to Morristown."
"I recently had surgery at Hackettstown Medical Center for a pilonidal cyst and I cannot express how happy I am with my experience at this center and under Tori's care. Everyone was extremely kind, compassionate, and understanding. It was very relieving to know I was in good hands during my procedure. From being greeted right when I walked in to the main entrance, to the nurses making jokes and sharing funny stories, this medical center is by far the best I've ever been to. I've never encountered a center with employees this kind. Thank you to everyone in same day surgery (Tori, Heather, Diane, Kayla). You all rock! :)"
"I had a small out-patient procedure here and am very grateful for the professional and compassionate care I received from the entire staff. All aspects of my day were handled as smoothly as I could've imagined including being prepped, the trip to the OR, anesthesia, recovery, and getting ready to leave in post-op. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and any post-op pain was addressed before I was sent home. While I hope to not need another surgery in the future I do know that if I end up at Hackettstown again I'll be in good hands."
"Taking the time to shout out to the three nurses that took care of me during my procedure. What a team effort. Julia, Melissa C, and Melissa were all great communicators. They genuinely cared about my well being. It was nice to see such a team effort. I can't tell you you how important the positive atmosphere these three ladies established is to my returning to your facility for my next screening."
