St. Christopher's Hospital For Children- Pulmonary

"Not even taking anymore allergy patients and after i spoke to my daughters insurance company and was told she does not need a referral they still told me she needed 1 when the insurance clearly confirmed that she didn’t. Honestly the whole hospital is trash it’s dirty everytime i come there, and the doctors don’t even want to do there jobs properly, and it’s sad cause it went down hill after covid started"

"Attempted to reschedule an appointment for MY daughter. Her father normally escorts her to these appointments but apparently they dont understand that kids have 2 parents and even though my child has been coming here for more than 10 years im told i legally cant rescedule her because they dont have me "on file" which with countless visits since infancy is impossible. Very dissatisfied with your facility about this."

"My son was being treated for Asthma. His primary physician is also through CHOP so it seemed like a good idea to see a CHOP Pulmonologist so his records were shareable and easily accessible. They got us in with Dr.Mohtasham. I was far from impressed. She spent more time texting on her phone than she did doing an examination. I called to switch doctors after driving up to an appt under the impression that my son was going to have his PFT done and the dr decided that day before we arrived to do it another day. It was a waste of a 3 hour trip. When I called to switch doctors, I had to get approval from a supervisor by stating my reasons why. They told me that I can switch but HAVE to stick with this new doctor. I am paying for services, if I am not happy with this new dr i have yet to meet i WILL switch or leave the practice. If you ever have to change an appt...expect to wait 2-3 MONTHS for a new one and be prepared to deal with the most miserable employees when calling. Such a huge disappointment when you expect better care from doctors associated with such a good name. I do not recommend and have left the practice. Save yourself the aggravation and find another practice."

"Waited over 2 hours to still not be seen. Got the vitals checked and that was it. Nurses never even came in, went out and asked how much longer and got the nurse will be in soon. Waited.. nothing. As I’m walking out the nurse finally shows up to say they had a busy day. Patients walked in after us and were seen and gone before we could even see a nurse. Glad I waited 2 months to get an appointment to waste my whole day driving through the ghetto to not even be seen. I run a busy specialist office in SJ so I understand things happen but this is ridiculous."

"It's hard to get an appointment here if you are a new patient. Even if you are an existing patient, it's hard to get anyone on the phone to get an appointment. Quality of the doctors is likely below that of CHOP since this place is owned by Tenet, and Tenet is now famous for hiring sub-par doctors (especially their head of thoracic surgery) who will work for less money. My kid's asthma is a fairly mild case so I figure I might as well not take someone else's spot at the best children's hospital when he could probably be taken care of fairly well at this for-profit Tenet dump."
