"Horrible! My experience with Dr Jong An was one I never wish to encounter again. My initial meeting with him started with him telling me that I am somewhat “over dramatic” (his exact words to me) when I advised him of my health history and symptoms. Then after going thru 3 treatments, I followed back up with him to go over my results and he literally talks to me for less than 5 minutes, telling me how shocked he was that my Health Insurance paid for my treatments because most don’t, instead of explaining to me how the Iron Infusions worked or are currently working to my advantage or disadvantage. I still have no answers on where I stand with my treatment other than the numbers that he threw at me which mean absolutely nothing if they are not being explained to me. There were numerous items on the results in “Red” or flagged and he declined to go over any of them. I am truly disappointed with his level of care AND compassion for that matter. He made it very clear to me that my symptoms and continued maintenance of my care was not important nor a priority with him. He made me out to feel as if I was some type of Hypochondriac and exaggerating all of my symptoms. His staff is equally uncaring and unhelpful as they never once returned a call. It wasn’t until I had to call numerous times and speak with an office manager to get a response back. It is truly an extremely scary feeling when you can not have trust in your own Doctor with your care. I had to be my own advocate for my health from day one and will continue to do so moving forward. Hoping to find a Doctor that is truly interested in helping in getting me back to being as healthy as I can possibly be. Dr An definitely is not that Doctor. I would not now or ever recommend Dr Jong An with Hematology Oncology Associates of Fredericksburg VA."
