"The doctors and nurses are extremely professional and caring! Billing, front desk, and the man who runs insurance pre-authorizations are very rude, have poor communication skills and belittle questions and concerns thrown their way. If your child "potentially" has a problem and needs test done, wouldn't you complete the paperwork immediately or at least COMMUNICATE to the parent why it's taking you 2 weeks to do so. I shouldn't have to call 5 times to remind you because your busy or leave messages that never get returned. I NEVER leave bad reviews but this office has gone down hill and work ethic is awful compared to 10 years ago when my oldest was a patient. They really need to reevaluate who they have working there and learn that the patient (CHILDREN) are top priority and that COMMUNICATION and SOCIAL SKILLS are needed in this career field. The nurse was so helpful and went above and beyond her duties to do other employees jobs! Thank you for that!"
"i will NEVER recommend anyone EVER to Laurel Pediatrics. Maybe if your kid only goes for annual check ups. But if your child needs everyday medication and med checks every month....DONT DO IT!!!!!!! They ALWAYS "forget" to call in his meds.....they NEVER return phone calls. Aiden has gone SO SO many times without his medicine. Which if you have a kid with adhd, ODD or anxiety. You know what it's like to go days without those meds. Or sleeping medicine. Where he literally won't sleep without it. Then he's sick as a dog the next day. Or you have to keep him home from school. We have officially switched to a new place. But I want to warning everyone. ⚠️ ⚠️⚠️ oh...and when they call and cancel appts on us because the Dr. is no longer available that day. But then tell us we had a no show and we better make sure not to miss the next appt. When we had a voicemail for proof of them canceling. Sorry angry momma rant over!"
"Find somewhere else to go. Depending on the day, some of the providers care and some don't. Ever since the Westmont office closed, the service and availability has gone downhill, WAY downhill. I've been waiting to hear about a medication for my daughter, to which I took matters into my own hands with the insurance company, and the doctors office is just too overwhelmed or too busy that they can't take care of this. And it's been a week. I understand and I never expect my child to be anybody else's priority 1, but if I'm waiting for medication refills/insurance requesting information, how many others are there waiting for the same? The nurse line is almost useless. Leave a message and hope and pray you get a call back. I won't say all, but most of the nurses I've spoken with are real ignorant too. I just switched my child from this office to another doctor entirely because this mom and dad has had enough."
"Doctors and nurses are really friendly and were always really professional. The billing department and front desk people are extremely rude. Everything saw a few on their cell phones. They also sent us a bill to try and double dip us even though they scanned our insurance card and when we called they took care of it. Please be wary! Wouldn't really recommend because of the front desk"
"Suggested over the phone to bring my 4 year old with classic uti symptoms and history in for a sick appointment to straight cath her because she can not clean catch in a cup. Refused to prescribe a broad spectrum antibiotic after 4 days of trying to get a urine specimen. After becoming so frustrated and not being taken seriously as a mom and nurse myself, I informed them we would be switching pediatricians. Their nurse called and left two voicemails suggested she go to the ER for IV therapy (due to the decreased output which is normal with urgency and utis-so no) and then that they spoke to the doctor who would like to culture the dribbles of urine prior to treating. I honestly doubt antibiotic resistant utis in 4 year olds are sooo rampant that you couldn’t just send a script in and give her relief-in my opinion they don’t care enough and I expect more for my kids."
