"Dr. Joe Kannarkatt is probably one of the best physicians I have ever dealt with, and I do not say that lightly, my daughter and son-in-law are both doctors. I was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia in 2020, of which there is no cure, but doctor Kannarkatt went to bat for me and finally got me approved for a stem cell transplant at Johns Hopkins, despite my age. We spent 2 months at Hopkins and came back and Dr. Joe again took over my treatment. I just passed my 3 year anniversary and I am totally in remission. Many other oncologists would have said "you are too old for a transplant", but Dr. Joe stuck with it, and in my opinion, saved my life. The whole staff at Cancer Care are wonderful and caring. It is a thankless specialty and I am sure not a lot of wins, but I am living proof that with the right doctors and the right attitude, it does not have to be a death sentence. I will always be grateful to Dr. Joseph Kannarkatt."
