Reviews of Lot 38 espresso bar
"Lot 38 Espresso Bar is a great choice for coffee in Navy Yard. The Mom & Pop shop is a very welcoming and even has areas upstairs to hang out, drink coffee, and/or work. The price for a large (20oz) latte or cappuccino is better than the smallest, cheapest drinks at other coffee shops. The Cappuccino Viennese showcased the high quality of the espresso. I cannot recommend this place enough over chains like Starbucks, Dunkin’, Compass, Gregory’s, etc."
"Really terrific, fresh bagel. Great location. Friendly, quick service. Excellent prices."
"The cinnamon coffee cake was a bomb! Taste so good and very reasonable price for the huge size. Coffee latte was ok."
"This coffee shop is in a super cute area with a very photogenic park right across the street! I got a dirty chai latte, and really liked it. I also feel like it’s a good price for the size. I didn’t try any of the food, but the menu looks pretty good. There’s also an area upstairs with tables to work and hangout. Service is friendly, too!"
"My husband and I love this place! We go every weekend for an Americano and croissant or sometimes a smoked salmon bagel. The prices are MUCH better than most (all?) places in DC and specifically the Navy Yard, and yet the quality is outstanding. The ambiance is unpretentious and the staff are so incredibly nice. I get the vibe that it’s family-owned and run which I really appreciate. The upstairs has a surprisingly large seating area and there’s also a very nice little park right across the street where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Updated to add that this morning, for the first time, I got a slice of their cinnamon coffee cake which was only $2.99 for a very thick (and delicious!) slice. This would’ve cost me $5+ at any other DC coffee shop and would’ve been a thinner slice."
