"I bought a generator through this firm about 6 years ago and it was a very positive experience. Believe it or not, it was hard to find a company in my area (Frederick, MD) who actually seemed interested in selling a home generator to a consumer. McLaughlin's seemed to understand that I am a homeowner and not an electrical contractor or gas line installer. The installation was flawless and there were no surprise cost overruns. We had difficulty with the local electrical inspector, but McLaughlin's was very patient and finally we overcame them. The generator has worked well since its installation, but fortunately we haven't needed it much. I also have a gas fireplace and I get my gas for that through McLaughlin's. This is not a big ticket sale for them as I only use about 90 gallons per year, but they treat me as if my business is important to them. About three months ago, the generator got a red warning light and stopped working. A call to McLaughlin's got us a service call the next day and he fixed the oil pressure valve quickly and at a very reasonable cost. It now runs like new. I have always had a positive experience with McLaughlin's and would recommend them to anyone."
