Reviews of Panera Bread
"I love the food here, but at this point I just feel scammed by Panera. Panera seems to have lost its value. They were out of almost all of the specialty soups except for non protein soups and chicken noodle so options were limited. It’s the middle of winter, you need to have enough soup stocked up. The pick 2 cup option for soup was more expensive than the normal cup of soup option of the same kind. Doesn’t really make any sense to me, I thought we were supposed to be getting a deal with that. Dining area could definitely use a deep cleaning. All corners and ridges on serving counter have stuff and crumbs on them and the furniture is visibly well worn. The lady serving my soup loudly reminded everyone in the kitchen, “when y’all are making broccoli soup, make sure you pull from the one in the back” … so basically that loudly tells me I’m not getting the freshest soup that could be served to me. I know how restaurants work, first in/first out yada yada, but don’t make it so obvious to the customer that, yeah, there’s definitely fresher soup, but you’re not getting it. I just expect more out of a place that is so expensive now. However, I am excited for the food itself that I’m about to tear into."
"It used to be amazing, but the food has gone downhill, and the prices have jumped. When your name has bread in the name, you should probably make sure it's fresh. Loved this place a few years back, but guess cost cutting made it unprofitable to make a 15$ sandwich have 3 slices of meat?"
"Rapid orders for pickup are not rapid whatsoever. They keep the rapid orders behind their counter at the area specified for delivery orders so you end up actually still waiting in line to tell them that you have a rapid order for pickup. Also, if other employees see that there’s a long line and one cashier- they glance at you and just continue on with their task. No help for the sole team member taking orders at the register. Not a bad location, they just need to fix these issues."
"Below par to other Panera Bread restaurants. I like ordering in person rather than using the kisok, though that was a mistake. They got my order wrong. Guess thats one more person they can cut from the late shift or maybe move them to help with the kitchen. Then I get this for a baguette....and the kitchen people said this is how they always are...um not what I've gotten before."
"I ordered for rapid pickup, after arriving, I grab my bag and I luckily decide to double check my order before leaving. I was missing 2 bags of chips, 2 baguettes, and no tortillas strips when I had ordered extra. I then had to wait in line for 10 minutes, then the worker hands me my food and one singular bag of tortilla strips for my 2 orders of soup so I had to request more and wait once again. This totally defeated the point of the rapid pickup for me to just have to wait for multiple mistakes to be fixed. After I got home and got my food out, my Turkey Bravo was SOAKED in sauce! The bread was so soggy and wet there was an hole from the moisture. The bacon was undercooked, tomatoes were mushy, and lettuce was limp. Both soups were cold after having to wait at the restaurant. I really tried to enjoy the soup despite it being cold and thick but after taking a couple bites and then seeing my sandwich, I totally lost my appetite because of how poorly made it was. I have gotten the sandwich many times at other locations and they’ve always been great. Beware of Ranson Panera Bread. My soups and sandwich went straight in the garbage. It was a complete waste of money. I’m so disappointed."
