"Major increase in fees. I was not told until the very end when there was no turning back. It is insane to charge almost $200 more than last year just to file one extra form. A total sham and a rip off!!!!! You should have your employees be upfront with fee increases. I am recently unemployed with 4 kids and was charged $589 to file. I will warn my friends to avoid H&R block!!!!!"

"I've been going to h&R block for close to 40 years and it seems i've never had a bad experience. they take their time to explain things when you ask them any questions. i've always had my taxes done by not making an appointment and just walking in. i'm legally deaf and yet they take there time to explain if not verbal, they will write it down so i don't misunderstand anything. it's fast, in and out. i mean who likes to have their taxes done. personally i wouldn't think of going somewere else. as they say, don't fix something if it's not broken."

"The people are very nice and the office is great. The problem is that HR Block is now using AT&T IVR automated answering system. This means they are running interference to make it more difficult for people like me to inquire about appointments. Yes, I hit the '0' button many times. The friendly robit voice told me it was an invalid option. I do not feel I should have to drive to the office to make an appointment. HR Blpck has essentially removed themselves from being reachable by phone. I think that is a strange business decision. The district manager assured me that the system makes everything more efficient, but 15 minutes earlier the branch manager handed me the loval direct-dial number and stated that all clients hate the automated system and she has to hand out the direct -dial number to all the clients."
