"A horrible experience. I had to temporarily stay in maryland because of issues at home. I tried to get them to take me off of a medication I’m having very bad side effects of. I was convinced to try it longer. But my side effects are worse so I called to get another appointment and was told I’m being terminated from them and would have to go to the hospital or a doctor to get taken off. So now it’s like I’m not a patient. I didn’t do anything I told them I’m going back to Virginia so that I can continue getting help and that’s when Lori Bridgwood told me I was terminated. I asked why over and over and she could not tell me why. So now I am stuck on a medication with horrible side effects. Not knowing why I was terminated. She just gave me a number to call and that was it. She had no explanation as to why I am no longer a patient besides the fact that I’m temporarily staying in maryland after I repeatedly said I’m going back to Virginia so I can continue. Horrible service. I’m about to just stop my medication cold turkey and deal with whatever happens from that because I can’t take the side effects. I also asked to speak to the person above Lori and she kept telling me I couldn’t talk to him and that he would just say what she said, which was very frustrating because she really didn’t say anything as to why I was terminated and why I couldn’t speak to someone above her. For a place that’s supposed to help people who are in need of mental health, the customer service is terrible. Do better. Learn how to talk to people instead of repeating yourself when I obviously didn’t understand what was going on or why. They gave no answers and left me stuck trying to figure out what to do. I also explained hat I am a Virginia resident all of my belongings are in Virginia, my id address is Virginia. Don’t go on vacation for a month or they will terminate you. I was in maryland for a month but repeatedly stated I will be back in Virginia before my next appointment. But Lori wouldn’t listen when I stated that. I did use the word “move” because I was very frustrated but I never moved to maryland I am a Virginia resident. After trying to correct myself and state I didn’t move I was just visiting my uncle and staying there for a month, she wouldn’t have it because she “has to take detailed notes during conversation” you’d think they would take into consideration I used the wrong word “moved” during my panic attack trying to explain everything to them to no avail. I hate that I have to search for somewhere else as it was hard for me to even try therapy again. I probably won’t. Thanks Lori"
"My 1-star is for their billing practices. I sent my child there from January to May. During that time we switched insurances. My own fault for not making sure the new insurance information was updated correctly. However, I literally just received my first ever statement from them today, 9/6/2021 despite asking for a bill back in May, and to top it off, they emailed it (the $1,056 bill) to my child directly, not even to me."
