"First of all Mrs Way is all over the place sending me pictures of her Bday.. Like why are you sending me pics of you they also where running late with the times switching up the times and all and then drop from my session for 30 dollars how petty can you be then she referred me to another lady Ebony Bland she didn’t even really listen to me I would tell her stuff and she would forget or tell me something that I never said the session portal was always messing up doing my sessions then they would be late all the time or get times mixed up or they would assign homework and they would forget why do I have to remind you of a assignment.. Mrs Way said my 30 co payment was stoping her from running her business because I told her no I didn’t have the 30 in the bank times are hard for me and I’m trying but it wasn’t good enough for Mrs Way she couldn’t even work with me smh"
"I am totally satisfied with K. Way Consulting Services (Psychotherapist, Ms. Way), in particular; Counselor Way has been very effective with counseling my daughter. As a result, my daughter has made great progress focusing on her school assignments, as well as, seeking social involvement within the community. Counselor Way has an excellent communication style. She was able to reach the core of my child’s disabilities instantly. From this experience, I have seen great improvement in my child’s mental health. I am truly impressed with the group therapy and the one-on-one counseling. I sincerely appreciate her services. Thank you, Ms. Shaw-Harrell"
"I have been a client here since early 2020 and by far the best decision I have made for my life. I was on a search for someone Professional, personable, African American and that would genuinely want to help/see me be the best version of myself and I am getting all that and then some here. Never would I have thought I would be excited session after session to share my good/bad or indifferent experiences with someone and be open to growth in areas that are not necessarily comfortable for me than I am here. This journey is one I’m glad to be on with Ms. Way and am looking forward to continuing working with her."
"A true ally...the best part about her services is how supportive she is. Thanks"
"I had an appointment scheduled for 10 am. During scheduling I was told that I would receive documents for registration and an email confirmation for the appointment. Never received anything but I still showed for my 10am appointment and arrived at 9:55am. The appointment was on a Wednesday so I took off work. Rang the doorbell and knocked until 10:01am. Called at approx 10:01am, 10:03am, 10:07am, 10:10am and 10:12am. The last call was answered by the owner/ counselor, Kamilah Way. I stated I had an appt at 10am and she proceeded to say that she was interviewing someone, didn't hear the knocks/doorbell, her intent wasn't to ignore me but she only seen 4 missed calls from me vs 5. She told me to come back. When I returned she introduced herself, passed me some forms to fill out and that was it. No sincere apology, no resolution...no nothing. As if I wanted to stay for service after that. I proceeded to tell her how disappointed I was and that a business for mental health services should be ready for appts, welcome their customers and offer a sincere apology. I have been waiting for a while to see a counselor, requested a black owned business with a black woman...and here we are. It just further triggered what I was experiencing and now I have to find a new counselor hopefully sometime soon."
