Reviews of Core Elements Physical Therapy
"Dr. Rachel is works wonders! I was having discomfort running while pregnant. I considered stopping running until after I had my baby but so glad I met with Dr. Rachel instead. She taught me exercises that actually worked!!! After just two sessions and keeping up with the exercises at home the pain/discomfort was GONE! I couldn’t believe it! At 31 weeks pregnant, I am still able to run - less volume due to my energy levels - but with NO discomfort and I owe it all to Dr. Rachel. I highly recommend for anyone pregnant and nervous about trying PT - you don’t have to give up your physical activity or be in any pain!"
"I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Rachel. I had been suffering from Vulvodynia in silence for many years - making gynecological exams nearly impossible. After finding her she helped me eliminate my pelvic pain and connected me to amazing doctors and care team in the NOVA area. She is caring, compassionate, and very knowledgeable with anything pelvic floor. She also takes a very holistic approach to pelvic pain and finds realistic solutions and exercises. I cannot recommend her enough! I recently moved but actually miss my weekly sessions - she is the best."
"I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Rachel. I dealt with my pain in silence and used to think it was something I had to accept for the rest of my life. After finding and working with her, my life has been changed for the better. She not only helped largely eliminate my pelvic pain, but has also equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to continue my healing journey. She is compassionate and deeply knowledgable and I would recommend her to anyone dealing with any sort of pelvic floor issues. She is simply the best."
"Rachel is the best physical therapist I have worked with. I came to her when I got pregnant. After seven years of chronic pain and tension in my pelvic floor, I was worried about my capacity to carry and deliver a baby. I was also eager to exercise throughout the pregnancy, but fearful that some movements might exacerbate my pelvic floor issues. When we started working together, I couldn’t even do one kegel and thought I might need an elective C section. By the time I was 32 weeks pregnant, I could effectively isolate, activate, and release my pelvic floor, was exercising and doing restorative practices daily, and, in Rachel’s words, had reclaimed the role of CEO of my own body. I went into labor feeling totally empowered. I had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery with only one minor tear, and when I saw Rachel again at 12 weeks postpartum, I had a clean bill of health! No prolapse, no diastasis recti, nothing! This was a better outcome than I could have imagined, and I credit her with helping me not only physically, but also with believing in my body’s capacity to heal, strengthen, and support new life."
"This review is long overdue! Dr. Rachel Aronson is excellent. After my first baby, delivered by C-section last year, I began learning and researching about the imperative recovery many of us moms need to truly heal from the inside out. This led me to Core Elements Physical Therapy, and I have been so happy with my experience. Rachel is a kind, nurturing and intelligent PT who takes the time to listen to and understand issues and ailments in order to provide effective resolutions. She has helped me regain my core, and subsequently start "getting my body back," returning to a great level of fitness by allowing me to safely focus on my preferred main exercise, running. I know she would be helpful for various physical therapy needs, and have recommended her to both new moms as well as others. As with anything, just attending the appointments will not work miracles - you do need to put in the work she gives you. I can say it is 100% percent worth it and I owe much of my current fitness, health, physical recovery, and mental peace to Rachel's compassionate care. If you are in need of an extra hand in recovering, be it from any type of childbirth or sports injury, I highly recommend Core Elements!"
