Reviews of Reignite Psychological & Consulting Services LLC
"I'm taking this from a 3 to 2 star review. I am still getting therapy here, FYI, because I am mostly satisfied with the therapists I've had here. The reason for the 3, and now 2 star review is poor communication and the management, namely Sherri and Dr. Simmons. When I first started here (November 2020 I believe), I was working with a student in training. I understand she was receiving supervision and had to meet with Dr. Simmons. We had started a practice of rating how often/intense I felt some important emotions at the beginning of each session. For example how much guilt, sadness, shame etc. I felt the past week. After a week or two of this, Christina and I were going through the list and she said we were only going to rate feelings XYZ. I asked about ABC and she said "Oh I guess Dr. Simmons only wants to do these three". So? What Dr. Simmons wants in my therapy session is irrelevant. To this day I find it appalling, disrespectful, hurtful and angering that someone who only read notes about me made that decision, without regard to how I felt, what I want/need out of my therapy sessions, and without an appropriate explanation. In March/April 2021 I was seeking medical leave from work and asked Reignite for some paperwork for FMLA. I ultimately did not qualify for FMLA, so I stared applying for a different type of leave directly through work. I could use the same paperwork, but now had to turn this in to my direct supervisors and it contained sensitive information including my diagnosis. I asked Sherri/Latoya if there was a way to remove the diagnosis from the document (I was not comfortable sharing this with my boss) and she never replied. When I switched from Christina to Dr. Malloy (Aug 2021 I think), I was supposed to receive a new telehealth link. I e-mailed the admin (so either Latoya or Sherri, I've gotten e-mails from both) the day of explaining I had not received it. The reply said "You should have it but here it is..." Yeah, I should have it, FROM YOU. Totally unnecessary comment. About a year ago Dr. Malloy was sick and could not make it to our session. I was supposedly rescheduled for another day, but when I arrived (telehealth) Dr. Malloy explained to me that she was in another session and we did not have an appointment scheduled. I e-mailed letting them know and asked if they could confirm that our next appointment was at our usual time. No answer. I have missed appointments recently due to illness, and I've had a shift in work schedule as well, that lasts from now until the second week in June. I e-mailed today to say I could not make today's appointment and ask about telehealth as that would be better with the work adjustment. She explained that because I've missed appointments recently my status changes to floater, meaning I need to call to see if Dr. Malloy is available that week. I'm totally fine with that, but I'm not okay with Sherri not answering my question, twice. I replied, telling her I am okay with floater status and will call Mondays. I asked how am I removed from floater status, because my availability will return to normal (weekly, in-person) in June. She replied saying "Great, call on Monday's for availability". So I replied AGAIN asking if there is a process for getting back to regular sessions. No reply. Again. I feel a mix of things posting this because I like my therapist, have been here a while and I feel I've made good progress. And I get this is a business and lots of people need therapy and people do their best. But thinking about all this in total is just disappointing."
"Sherri is by far one of the best administrative assistants any medical office has ever seen. And Lauren is a pretty fantastic therapist to boot! Incredibly grateful to the whole Reignite Psych team."
"It's difficult for me to describe why I would rate them 5 stars... Essentially, I feel like they are helping me to be my best me! They are very accommodating and professional. I wish the office space they rent matched their level of expertise and service."
"I think we doing too much"
