Over a three-month period, I progressed from being highly impaired to a complete range of motion with my back and knee. My daily activities have returned to the level prior to surgery. "I've had multiple joint replacements, and a lot of PT appointments, but my knee replacement in August was my 1st experience at Bayside. It was just by happenstance that I ended up there - the PT place I'd gone to in the past didn't answer the phone, so after multiple attempts I dialed Bayside and my call was taken right away by their (always) friendly front desk staff. Point 1 in their favor. Every therapist I saw over the next 2 months, and I think I saw them all except one, was kind, proficient, and encouraging. Point 2 in their favor. Everyone, everyone, from the front desk receptionists, to the therapists, to the PT assistant, knew my name, greeted me at each visit, and commented on how well I was progressing - not just the therapist I was seeing that day, but everyone! How did they do that? I don't know, but it made me feel genuinely known and respected - liked even - which was so appreciated because I was truly a grouch the first week or two.
