"I left a message for billing lady about a charge that appeared for Dr Yousifi. I have never seen this person. I never received a call back. I have a telehealth appointment tomorrow and they are expecting to pay for a balance of bill before appointment. They rip you off when they charge for a person that i have never seen and cant get the billing person to call back. The care i have received from therapist is great. They have one receptionist in silverspring office that is very nasty and she should not be in that position. I used to be secretary and if i spoke to someone the way she spoke to me i would be fired."
"I've been coming here for months and it is the most unprofessional office i've ever had the misfortune of working with. Medications aren't sent to the pharmacy, the nurse practitioners, doctors, and receptionist inturrupt whenever you try to speak, and the all around atmosphere is negative and unencouraging. If you're looking for mental/behavioral help, DO NOT COME HERE."
"I have been going to the Frederick office for several years, seeing Dr. Yousufi. Dr. Yousufi is fair and understanding. The office is clean and the secretary and counselors are great. They require a meeting a week, usually 4-10 people, and I talk as much or as little as I feel comfortable. My only negative about this office is their limited times for appointments/meetings. Meetings are only on Tuesday or Wednesday and doctor appointments are only on Fridays. But I learned to work around their schedule because I would not want to start new again at a different office."
"If I could give it negative stars, I would!!! This place is a joke!! I was seeking medication management as I moved and needed someone closer to my home and work. I researched and called this office. The receptionist was not very pleasant on the phone, but i chalked it up that perhaps it's been a busy day at the office. I worked in healthcare, i know it can get hectic. My first visit I arrive and the receptionist is just so welcoming (sarcasm). I pay for my appointment up front ($140 mind you due to my deductible) to be seen by a social worker for an official "intake" as I was told it was a requirement before any doctor could see me. That should've been my red flag #1. Ok, so I see said social worker, rehash my entire history that was sent up to them from my prior doctor, only then to be told, ok well that's it for therapy and you'll need to schedule with the doctor for your meds. So I went with it, scheduled 2 weeks later to see the doctor. Fast forward 2 weeks, I see this doctor!! Office was nice, clearly was brand new. I again paid $140 (as my deductible was not met yet- no biggie!). I waited for about 15 minutes and finally she comes to get me. Shes dressed pretty casual. I come into her 'office' and it's a mess!! It smells like old wet towels, it's dark and no light other than computer screen with a few paper cups of water and papers all over her desk. It has a couch with an unfolded blanket on it. She sits down in front of me at her desk with no introductions and begins asking questions and wants me to rehash my history all over again. I question why I need to do it again as I just went over this with the social worker 2 weeks prior and it should be in the system. She then tells me that their system is down. Ok, fine, now this is my second red flag! So i give a brief history with medications and dosages, she asks me where to send my scripts and she tells me I'll see you in 1 month, make follow up at the front desk and I go on my way. This was all in a matter of a 20 minute visit with this doctor. A few weeks later I get this call and I'm told the doctor needs to reschedule my appointment, so I do. Then a week or two after that, I get a letter in the mail and it states that their system was hacked and that they lost information and cant guarentee that my information was not compromised, oh and that they value me as a patient, have taken the necessary steps to fix etc... yadda yadda yadda. Red flag #3 and my final straw. I quickly cancelled my appointment, and requested that they assist those who were effected with identity protection as thus was a privacy violation and HIPPA violation, they refused. Here we are in June, I receive a bill from them for my February appointment that is dated April 24th, and wasnt mailed until the last week in May per the postage. Seriously?!?! The bill is for a remaining balance for the doctor visit. I immediately question it as I has already paid $140 to see this so called doctor, now I owe her $54??? Theres no explanations, theres no submission to my health insurance nothing. So I call their office, prompt picks up staring business hours and phone tree selection. I pick my selection and as expected it rings, and rings, and rings, and rings, no answer, after about 5-8 minutes of ringing a voicemail finally picks up, its generic with no introduction of course. So I leave my message. We shall see if they return my call, but anticipate and expect that they too will fail at this! I then scheduled a new appointment at a new office was able to get in, not required to see a social worker before a doctor, the office was organized, welcoming, and pleasant. It was promising. The physician was even that much more welcoming... thank you lord for this!! So moral of this story, avoid this Greenidge Behavioral as much as possible!!!!"
"We never even made it in for my mom's first appointment at the Fredetick location and I already had a bad feeling about this practice. When I spoke to them for the first time the representative was very alouf regarding the mental illness issues I was attempting to share with her regarding my mom's needs. She just wanted to get my appointment set and had no interest in anything else I had to say. Unfortunately, I had contacted several other practices and none were accepting Medicare patients. I made the appointment hoping I would find another practice before she had to go there. Didnt happen. Everyone else was full or didnt accept medicare. Fast forward to today...I had to call to cancel the appointment for next week because my mom passed away over the weekend. After being tossed between one voice message to another for two attempts, I finally just left a message cancelling the appointment during my third attempt to reach a live person. In my message I stated that my mom had passed away so we needed to cancel the appointment. I requested a confirmation call back, which I did receive shortly after I left the voicemail. The lady who returned my call stated where she was from and I thanked her for the call back. Then she just said she would cancel our appointment and nothing else. I asked her if she had remembered the reason I stated for the cancellation and she said "Yes. (then paused) Do you want me to make a note of that?" I asked her if she realized that it was because my mom died, and she said "Yes. I cancelled the appointment." That's it! I was shocked that she offered no kind words, or any words acknowledging what had happened, and I told her that I would have appreciated some "human reaction from a behavioral health care practice representative." She just said " Oh, sorry." I told her I was relieved that my mom would not be treated there, and advised her that a bit of basic compassion would be a nice touch from a behavioral health care practice. All I have to go on are phone conversations, but my first (and second) impressions of this practice left me feeling like the have the wrong people in these receptionist positions. I hope the doctors and therapists are more qualified to deal with emotional issues. By the way, I did not call during their lunch hour, and don't believe the person who returned my call was from an outside receptionist service. Mental health issues are very delicate, and their reps don't seem to get it!"
