"I was referred to HPS Counseling by another therapist who didn't have space to take me on. I have to say it was the best referral I have ever received. I started seeing Germaine Ajavon shortly after I made a life changing decision and my anxiety was at it's highest. Germaine showed me techniques I could use to manage everything I was going through and get over the many hurtles I was facing during this time. She made recommendations for me to see the Nurse Practitioner and possibly start medication to assist with my treatment but never forced the issue due to my fear of taking medication. She waited until I was comfortable with the idea and decided on my own, which I appreciated very much. During my time seeing Germaine I had a death in the family that not only impacted me but my children as well. Germaine provided support during my time grieving and referred my 11 years old son to another therapist in the practice. I am truly grateful for her referral. Because of this my son has become more open to talking about his feelings and seems to be processing the death of a loved one better. Every time I go to see my therapist, I feel as if I am going to see one of my closest friends. She makes me feel comfortable talking openly and expressing my feelings without judgement. I plan on continuing my journey with HPS Counseling and would refer anyone in need of their services without a second thought."
