"I was seen here for years by a practitioner who is retired now. I adored her; she changed my life. I inquired about adult autism testing recently, which I was told out of pocket would be $1,800. I asked to get more information about the format of the testing, the research backing it, so forth. All of my questions were met with defensiveness. The practitioner answering my questions (who is not the person who conducts the evaluation) was incredibly snippy and seemed offended that I was trying to get clarity about this evaluation. The evaluation is “evidence based,” I was told over and over. Unfortunately, the evidence and our understanding of autism (particularly in adults) is in flux. So “evidence based” means nothing. I was told that part of what can be included is an assessment of “cognitive intelligence,” which is concerning. I was also told that the evaluation might include interviews/information from “observers,” e.g a parent or spouse. What does the way other people view me have to do with assessing whether I have a neurological difference that affects how I interact with and experience the world? This is particularly worrying if that person is neurotypical. Ultimately, I won’t be getting testing here, or ever returning for mental health support and I recommend you don’t either. Aside from my lovely retired therapist (Teri Wilkins) I saw two other practitioners here and they were extremely unhelpful."

"It was very disappointing that not only are they not taking any new patients (which I understand), but that there is no wait list. I was told to call back in January of the new year and there is still no guarantee that we can get an appointment. Just to save you a call, the website does not display that they are not taking any new patients."

"Well every time I have gone in, they are training someone new at the desk. The biggest HIPPAA violation in that they scheduled me under another Kathey yes I know her name, address, phone I cancelled my appointment because I couldn't pay $100 at once, one no show fee because I work until 3 am and didn't hear the alarm, and the next appointment. So the secretary asked why am I cancelling, I told her it was none of her concer. I just called and said I have the money, and they say, I will have to ask the counselor of she will see you. So I payed the owed amount on line and still no word. Yes Dr Christ ER is amazingly intelligent. I think I can pay myself the $50, feel love from myself, and use the library. I think karma will come around. They aren't the only folks in town. I have seen higher reviews elsewhere. I don't need CHS, deuces ✌️"

"I had an appointment scheduled for my child for two months, only to finally receive the associated paperwork 2 weeks before the appointment. It was never mentioned to me at the time of scheduling that I needed to have the other parent’s signature so that my child can receive services and I didn’t find that out until the paperwork was emailed to me and I read over it. Due to the nature of help needed, my child does not want the other parent to sign the paper because it would provoke an interrogation. Two months of waiting for this appointment during a time when services are in high demand and it is difficult to get an appointment anywhere, only to be back at square one with my child not receiving help. I am extremely disappointed in the way things have transpired with this provider and I can’t in good conscience give a good recommendation. For whatever it is worth, please save yourself the emotional heartache and seek services elsewhere. ETA- In response to your response, how about Trista Geeting actually reach out to me?
