Reviews of Life Change Therapy Now, LLC
"I found Rachel from Life Change Therapy Now after switching jobs and having my health insurance provider changed. I was sad to leave my old therapist, but happy about this wonderful life change. We left on good terms with the office. A coworker, with the same health insurance provider, suggested I give LCTN a call and so I did! Rachel is no longer a part of this office. I liked her, however, but I can't blame her for moving on with her life from this elementary, disorganized, and unempathetic office. At first, I was very clear about my needs. As a daughter of refugee parents and as a first generation immigrant, my problems were very specific to this. I made this very clear in my intake interview and while they did their best to hear me, I can tell they did not understand that growing up as a first generation immigrant is not the same as having issues with immigration. I emphasized this several times. If you browse their Meet The Team page, it is very apparent why they are not educated about the difference in being an immigrant/first generation immigrant vs immigration, no matter how hard I emphasized that immigration was not my issue. There is not much diversity in this team to help the needs of POC or those who are children of immigrants. I understand it may be due to location of this office, this may be my fault but it is still good to note if you are of minority background to avoid this place. I messaged this office to notify them of my illness (flu) with over 24hr notice from my appointment date and they refused to refund me the no-show cancellation. They said this is due to the fact this was my second time having a no-show (the first was due to my therapist switching hours and my appointment got changed around). I was disappointed by the lack of communication, understanding, and empathy for my being sick. In fact, their appointment reminder came AFTER I had cancelled my appointment. Absolutely unprofessional. BOTH this incident and the incident on not understanding the difference between having immigration concerns verses growing up in a refugee household were both handled by the same person--Zoe. So maybe other staff could be more helpful and empathetic, but I have not had that experience. Their emails that are sent to your inbox are full of very amateur and unsettling clip-art-esque images that have their worded updates in it. I do strongly wish they would spend time working on their client care than drawing up an email that is just so ugly and unappealing to read. In addition, their online portal is absolutely abysmal. It is not user friendly. As the coworker who had recommended me this office also needed to leave due to being underwhelmed with her service, she was then sent a satisfaction survey to complete. I did not because I upfront told them I was unhappy with my service. Therefore, please take any testimonial on their website with several grains of salt."
"I'd love to provide LCTN a positive review however it would solely be because of how excellent my therapist is, and not because of the practice itself. Due to my job, I cannot commit to recurring appointments. My schedule changes every 8 weeks and therefore I have to schedule my appointments on varied days and times reflective of that. I can no longer regularly see my therapist as the times that were typically conducive to my schedule have been given to other patients. I am stuck rummaging through their portal for dates every four weeks or even on one occasion two months. This is mentally damaging for someone who experiences anxiety, and it prevents me from reaching out for help. The business practice to schedule patients out for a whole year on the same date and time leaves zero room for individuals like myself. It makes you feel unworthy of help, and makes you feel as though this office does not have empathy for patients. Consequently I would not recommend this office unless you work a routine 9-5 job or if therapy is for your child. Blue collar, first responders, armed service members, and service industry workers stay far away- you'll only feel worse about seeking help. Update: 24-hour cancellation is a joke. If you're a patient who has an appointment on a Monday, please use your crystal ball to foresee events that happen after the office closes at 5pm on Friday! If you do your best to cancel before the 24-hour period via the portal in the period between 5pm Friday and 9am Monday, the cancellation will be approved. In thinking you're safe, you'll actually get a $10.00 co-pay bill. When you call to point this out as you believe it is in error, instead of owning THEIR ERROR, they'll explain they're sorry they charged you the $10.00. They actually mean't to charge you the $80.00 and will charge you the additional $70.00! How kind of them! Truly steer clear of this place. They lack self accountability and are more concerned about getting paid than they are about helping you. And in fact, they'll happily help induce further stress and frustration- if you're into exposure therapy."
"I love my therapist, Kim! I always look forward to talking with her, even if it’s not an emergent case, it is nice to have an unbiased perspective on my life. :)"
"I've been seeing a provider at LCTN for probably close to 2 years, if not longer, and am highly satisfied with the service, professionalism, and care. I've recommended this practice to 2 of my friends who were in the market and both completed the intake form and were matched with providers to meet their needs and are highly satisfied as well!"
"11/10 recommend! Everyone there is so great and welcoming and I'm so glad that I found them when I did. You couldn't ask for better people when looking for a therapy office."
