Reviews of Brunswick Physical Therapy
"I'm in the minority, but was disappointed with my experience at Brunswick Physical Therapy. I was having worsening sacroiliac pain, and after the evaluation Dr. Gilbert performed a realignment maneuver that gave me significant immediate relief and I was thrilled. But I soon developed bad sciatica that was worse than the original problem, and constant knee clicking that was also new. I never felt like my program was adapted to my evolving symptoms, and my exercise program remained the same for the entire time--same exercises and no. of reps, except for the addition of 3 new major-muscle exercises in the final weeks. The sciatica did mostly resolve toward the end of my first month, but I didn't see any real progress towards my functional goals in the 2nd month so I decided to stop. I also did not feel like I got much personal attention during each session. I simply performed the same 25-30 min stretching/strengthening routine as I did at home, by myself, then deep tissue massage for about 10 minutes every other session and ice/TENS. Aside from the massage, there was nothing I couldn't have done at home for free. The assistants were pleasant but I never learned their names, and they bounced back and forth between checking in on several patients. I've recently visited a different PT place for a different issue and while it's not an apples-to-apples comparison, I feel like my provider there is more focused on me during my sessions and there is a much greater variety of exercises she uses, clear progression in challenge level, and charting/monitoring of my progress every single visit."
"I have had PT for over nine years. The past three have been here with Bill and his team. They have really assisted me on my journey to increased wellness and in my recovery from pain. Bill is so knowledgeable, the best physical therapist I’ve ever had— thank you Bill."
"I wouldn’t hesitate to borrow the superlatives that have already been provided and will add a few of my own. As I was filling out my application, I asked the young lady at the front desk to do something that often raises the hackles of employees who are agreeable to almost anything else: to adjust the volume of “house music” that is often loud enough to constitute a distraction. Yet she complied immediately and without demur. The evaluation I received was rooted in an impressively profound understanding, not of generic problems (with which I’m sure my caretakers were familiar), but those that were specific to me. I was not only given appropriate exercises, but shown how to do them. And while the clinic was already a hive of activity, I never felt as if I were being “processed and ticketed”. Both therapist and trainee/student spent as much time as was necessary to see that, once I was on my own, I could help myself. Kudos to one and all for their seemingly effortless professionalism!"
"Unlike other places, you ALWAYS see a physical therapist!! Takes almost every insurance. Massages are also available. Friendly, knowledgeable and you NEVER have to wait, they do excellent time management I love the place."
"This is by far the best physical therapy place I've been to. I went in with a frozen shoulder. I could hardly move my arm and it was very painful. I was amazed at the personal attention I received. After a few weeks, I was able to get full movement back. I would definitely recommend Brunswick Therapy. Very friendly staff. I can't thank them enough for all they did for me."
