"Great variety of plants, ended up leaving with 2 swiss cheese monsteras, arabica coffee plant, 6 succulents, tradescantia bubblegum, and multiple planters. Andy welcomed us when we got there and checked in on us while we were looking around. He was super informative and gave us specific info for each plant we bought. Andy was extremely nice. We will for sure be stopping in again! Great local plant shop! 10/10"

"It was my first time here and it was worth the ride. There were many plants to see and experience. The staff was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable—a refreshing change from that of the home improvement stores around here. If you love houseplants too, I’d recommend dropping through and supporting a local business. Also, love the slogan “Plants make people happy.” Perfect."

"I’m so happy I found this store! When my fiancé and I bought our home, I was excited to finally be able to have house plants! After a year, a growing hobby and love became and obsession — and this store helps scratch that itch. I can’t remember the name of the woman who owns the store, but I bought three plants — a Swiss cheese plant, a philodendron Brazil, and a pitcher plant, and she went over care instructions, how to help them thrive, and they even offer a repotting service. I think some negative reviews have the misconception that because someone owns the store, they must know all there is to know about the store when instead, we should all be continuing to learn as we go. I told the owner how I’m very interested in carnivorous plants, and I have a Venus flytrap coming out of dormancy — she mentioned she doesn’t typically sell them because she hasn’t had a lot of success with them coming out of dormancy. My mom is a plant guru, but I’ve had more success with propagating plants then she has. Someone admitting their limitations does not make them rude or dismissive — it makes them honest. If you are looking for interesting plants and to support a woman owned business, you will love this place!"

"Went to tropicals plus looking for a Christmas present for my mom. I met the woman running the shop/owner. Asked her if she had any recommendations for plants and her answer was simply no. After looking around the shop for about 20 minutes I found two things that I felt might be appropriate. At the checkout counter, I asked her if she had any tips for propagating the plant(s) into cuttings. She again simply said no. And I asked her why, and she said that she has never had success propagating plants. So I declined to purchase anything from her shop. To me as the owner of a plant store, you should be able to provide simple advice, or suggestions to your clients on plants, as well as how to keep them healthy in the future. Will not shop here again, and I suggest that you do the same . There are other highly respected plant stores in the Pittsburgh area that will give you a quality house plant with quality advice."
