Reviews of Bloom OB/GYN
"They are the best. I enjoyed every doctor I saw as they are all kind, knowledgeable, and patient. I felt safe delivering my first baby with them. Support staff and ultrasound techs were also lovely to work with."
"I have been a patient of Lauren Gordon's since I first moved to DC in 2014, at her last practice. She is, and has always been, wonderfully attentive and personable, and takes the time to really get to know you and your needs as a patient. I cannot speak highly enough of her and her care. I now have 2 "Bloom Babies", one delivered by Dr. Slate in 2021 and one delivered by Dr. Osmun in 2022 and both were overall positive experiences throughout my pregnancy care. Both Dr. Slate and Dr. Osmun were kind, steady, and supportive during my deliveries and in each case I tried scheduling my inductions with Dr. Loveland because I really felt like we jived well in my appointments and both times my babies had other ideas. That's to say, I felt comfortable with all of the doctors. Did I always have perfect appointments? No, but pregnancy and the pandemic were extremely stressful times and I did feel listened to and cared for and 100% confident in the staff here. Yes there were some nurses that I connected with better than others, but as a long-time patient of Lauren's, her act is hard to follow as she is simply the best GP provider I have ever had. I have since moved away from the DC area or I would still be going here. I've seen some people complain about the new patient selection process and while I understand that is frustrating I commend Bloom on knowing their limitations and not compromising current patient care for new patients. I have other practices I went to who are always accepting new patients and current patients suffer for it with extended wait times, lack of appointments, and stressed providers. As for Sibley Hospital, I think they have a lot to work on but that is a different review topic."
"Bloom is great. We started our pregnancy with Reiter Hill and just had an awful experience. Compared to Bloom, Reiter Hill is a 3rd World free clinic."
"I wish their process to select new patients was more transparent. My wife and I waited with baited breath to get in for 3 weeks, and after multiple assurances that we should be able to get an appointment, we received a call saying they were full and would not see us. More transparency and honesty from your front desk staff, please!"
"I had an awesome experience with Dr. Loveland and would recommend her to everyone I know. She is compassionate and kind, but also authoritative and confident, all things I wanted in my care provider, particularly since I had a c-section due to breech baby. Dr. Loveland made me feel so safe and cared for and had such a positive attitude for my surgery. I could not have asked for a better doctor, and I just really can’t say how thankful I am that she was my doc on that day. I will be staying with Bloom for my next pregnancy in hopes I’ll get to deliver with Dr. Loveland again. She has also been so great postpartum, really listening to my concerns and providing me with a supportive ear and helpful advice. She really is the best! The only reason I hesitated to give 5 stars is because I encountered some admin issues with scheduling throughout the pregnancy that I found frustrating in the moment. They don’t just schedule you out for your whole pregnancy, so you have to be on top of calling to check if the calendars are open in order to get appointments. I always got appointments, but the ones with the doctors fill up fast, so I didn’t meet any of the OBs until end of my second trimester, which I did not love. I had to really advocate for myself to make sure I got appointments with the doctors for my final weeks. I would recommend Bloom consider scheduling pregnancy appointments out for the whole pregnancy (since it’s not a surprise when you need to be seen) to ensure patients get to meet all the OBs before birth and don’t have this added stress towards the end of the pregnancy. That said, the admin team was always super nice and managed to make it happen for me."
