"I booked to meet a Dr, more precisely an OBGYN but on the day of my appointment, I met a PA who did not meet my expectations in patient assessment/care (a common example is I was been asked my weight instead of it being measured on a scale…just to name this so I don’t go into too much details) coupled with the fact that she told me they don’t offer OBGYN services meanwhile they still say they do. So I wasted my time, energy and money (especially cuz I was paying out of pocket $250 to see a Dr I did not see and for OBGYN services I did not get). Then, I was 8-9 weeks pregnant. She did not examine me neither was I prescribed basic prenatal blood work ups (except for the fact that she confirmed my pregnancy with a urine test and asked me to do Bhcg hormones). To my greatest surprise they were still talking about following me up until week 12 before referring me to an OBGYN. I requested for an Ultrasound and was told I could do one the following week on Thursday and I agreed to book one and eventually booked. When I got home, i was curious to know the type of ultrasound that will be carried out, hence I called them back just to be told I was not booked for an Ultrasound and that I could not be booked for that day cuz the list was full. I told the staff on the phone I was in their health facility few hours ago and booked for an Ultrasound for that same next week Thursday, hence it can’t be full and I am not on the list. I insisted she corrects that and includes me which she did. Meaning If I did not call to find out on the type of ultrasound, I would have gone there that Thursday and be told I can’t do the Ultrasound after waiting for almost a week. I eventually went there on Thursday of the following week still with my Boyfriend, we were so excited about this first Ultrasound. We paid for it still out of pocket ($250) and when it was time to go for it, we were told my boyfriend can’t get in with me. This was surprising but we were not trying to be troublesome so we then asked if we will at least get pictures, they said not on the same day because we have to book another appointment to meet the Dr on Monday during which she will give us the results and this was suppose to cost us another $150. This was information we should have gotten upfront but we were only getting them at that moment and only because we asked, If not we would have done the Ultrasound before being told. Then I ask myself, where is the patient’s wellbeing in all this? Where is the Dr herself? Where is compassion. What kind of healthcare facility is this where patient care is not at the center? How about providing me with all the information so I take informed decisions? Plus this is my first pregnancy and they knew it from taking history and all. I was so angry and left without doing the Ultrasound because I could not trust them with my health but good thing is they refunded the money. But this is not always about the money cuz time is even more expensive and they wasted our time from day one when they said they offered OBGYN services which they don’t coupled with the poor communication on procedures that followed. Now I have to meet another doctor and start all over or go back there for the ultrasound. I am still contemplating on what to do because I have to pay another $250 for consultation if I go elsewhere. The experience was so disappointing."
"Dr. Okasi is amazing. She is professional, caring, and made me feel so comfortable during my visit. I suggest arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time for checking in, completing paperwork/verifying insurance etc but the wait was pretty standard for a doctors office. I absolutely will be returning."
"Very kind, understanding and makes you feel comfortable. She takes her time and listens to what you have to say. She is very thorough with your exam. I am very satisfied I chose her as my new doctor. The office workers were also very nice. Thank you for making my first visit so comfortable."
"My first-ever visit to this gynecology practice was nothing short of extraordinary, surpassing all my expectations. The staff's warm welcome, the modern and immaculate office environment, and Dr. Okasi's exceptional care truly stood out. She took considerable time to address my concerns, and her bedside manner was impeccable. It's evident that this practice places women's health and comfort as their top priorities. I left the appointment feeling empowered and exceptionally well-informed about my health. I'm truly grateful to have found such an exceptional healthcare team."
"I had been a patient at Dr. Okasi's practice for about 6 years. At first, I was very satisfied with the customer service and the one-on-one time that she would give her patients. In the last 2 years, I have seen how this has changed drastically. Not only do you have to make multiple requests to get prescription refills, but now speaking to the other providers she has in her business is not enough for a simple refill. They also do not tell you when you have a balance, they just refuse to send the prescriptions over, no matter how many times you call or how minimal the balance is... Mine was $7."
