"I wanted to like her. 1st time, my wait was very long only for her not to listen and use the "x-ray" vision that most doctors believe they have and tell ne that I was making up my issue and I should seek psychiatric help. The second time was two weeks ago and I have been waiting (still waiting) so long for my results that I ended up diagnosing myself. I took the urine test and the office was incredibly shallow when I told them that there was no more room to place my sample which could result in contamination. What do I know, right? One result came back..... contaminated. Never again."
"Dr. Jenkins is a gem. A one of a kind doctor that I have been a patient of for almost 30 years. Although, I became pregnant in 1997, and she was no longer doing ob, she referred me to equally amazing ob doctors who would go on to support me through prenatal visits and the deliveries of 3 beautiful babies. In between births I have faithfully visited Dr Jenkins for a plethora of services. Ranging from PapSmears to birth control. She has always been a teaching doctor and I always leave a visit feeling empowered , informed and prepared to take the next steps. She is meticulous in the way she explains your situation and follows up on every single finding. There is no unnecessary panic, and there is always an appropriate level of concern displayed. She is technical, but also very pragmatic. She is extremely knowledgeable, and I can’t stress enough how she calmly she addresses my very frantic text messages and calls after hours and apparently a few times while she is on vacation with patience. I have had such a history with her that I have referred several friends and family members to her over the years. My 2 daughters that are now young ladies now visit her as well. Dr Susan Jenkins is truly a phenomenal woman, and a excellent doctor."
"I am writing this review for my sister who does not have a google account- I am absolutely disgusted with the service I have received today. I came to Dr. Jenkins to confirm my pregnancy but she did not do adequate tests to confirm. She did not do an internal sonogram and she did not see anything. She asked me my symptoms and told me that because I wasn’t nauseous or throwing up that I probably wasn’t pregnant. After not seeing anything in the sonogram, she told me that I was either too early or had a ectopic pregnancy. She then sent me on my way. She gave me no insight on how to find out it was a ectopic pregnancy so I then went to the ER. I waited for three hours to be seen by a doctor. The doctor then told me that they didn’t see why I needed another ultrasound since I had just had one. I told the doctor that it wasn’t an internal sonogram and that I wanted to be checked again and they told me that Dr. Jenkins paperwork stated that it was an internal sonogram. I can’t confirm that is true, and I hope it is not, but that’s what the ER stated. As soon as I received the internal sonogram, the baby was found. I am over 7 weeks pregnant. The ER did tell me the baby would of been big enough to see on over the stomach. Regardless on if I was pregnant or not, all my concerns were not addressed and made worse throughout my visit with her. Her bedside manners made me uncomfortable feeling like I was not able to advocate for myself. If you are considering going to Dr. Jenkins I would reconsider. I’ll never go back to her!"
"I don’t do reviews often but I can’t believe what I just experienced. I literally loved Dr Jenkins but today was the end of it for me. Today was proof that doctors and their offices are money hungry and can care less about their patients. I called to reschedule an appointment because I came on my menstruation the day of my appointment, they told me I can still come in to be looked at. I told them I was completely uncomfortable with that and would like to reschedule. They literally told me I had to pay a cancellation fee for something that’s beyond my control. So if I’m uncomfortable with exposing one of my most vulnerable and sacred spaces, I have to be penalized for it?? I don’t EVER want a doctor to touch me if the first thing they care about is money and not the comfort of a patient. That’s RIDICULOUS!! Because if you’re that hungry for money, that my comfort don’t matter to you, you don’t need to be looking in me. It wasn’t like I was making an excuse, I came on my menstrual(which came earlier than normal) and I could not control that. I am so disappointed in this office and I wish doctors would just do better!!! So upsetting that I had to choose between being uncomfortable or paying a fee. Do you know how violated a women can feel when shes on her menstrual let alone allowing someone to look inside of it while you’re on??Why does that even make sense to anyone?? I support black business but this one can go straight down the drain. What a disappointment. SMH"
"If your looking for a GYN that actually cares DO NOT GO HERE!! My daughter had a very embarrassing visit to this office. She came in for a routine visit and discovered her cycle started. Now normally she does not have cycle due to medical issues. So she kindly asked the receptionist for a sanitary napkin. The other staff members told her they do not give out sanitary napkins to patients unless they make them bleed. So my daughter calls me to find out if this is true. Mind you my daughter took an uber here from Waldorf. Well the doctor surely came out and agreed. So I drive up to the doctor's office to discuss this with the doctor who is also the owner. She stated again this was true and that she does not give out sanitary napkins to patients unless a procedure makes them bleed. She also stated that she doesn't know the supplies in the office to give out supplies. Mind you this is her office and she is also a woman!!!! Well that was my last visit to that Janky office!"
