Reviews of Lauren Rodgers, MD - Total Women's Care
"The front desk was nice and professional and the service was very quick but Dr Rodgers idk. Im pregnant and I told her I was throwing up blood and not keeping anything down. She told me it was normal and prescribe me some medicine that didn’t even work. On top of that my urine was orange and she completely ignored it. She always wanted me to come in every 2 weeks for whatever reason when I was suppose to come once a month. A week later I ended up in the hospital and come to found out I was extremely dehydrated, I had little to no potassium and I lost 20 pounds smh. I ended up switching my doctor to DR Moore immediately. On top of that I’m 15 weeks pregnant and I don’t even have an ultrasound of my baby at all. A waste"
"I have been a patient of Dr. Rodgers for over 5 years. She is knowledgeable and thorough. She delivered all 2 of my children and each pregnancy was monitored with care and attention to detail. She is pleasant and professional. She has always been open to educating me on any topic I am curious about. I appreciate her care immensely. And the front desk ladies they're very nice keep up the good work."
"She needs her license taken away! I came to her and asked her about fertility issues. She barely spoke with me had her back turned didn’t really give me any feedback or answers I was looking for. she was very short with me. I only seen her about 5 mins through my visit. I also emailed her about medication I wanted to try and it’s been over a month and she hasn’t replied to no phone calls or emails. I guess I have to find another ob/gyn to help me continue my fertility journey."
"I'm sure Dr. Rodgers is an excellent physician, just not the physician for me. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00am. I completed the check in/history online before I arrived, and still had to wait an hour before I was seen. That happens--understood. However, when I was finally seen, Dr. Rodgers had her back to me as she quickly asked me questions. She was not rude or cold, just totally unengaged with me. I wanted to discuss a sensitive matter with her, but I left feeling like my issue was minimized. I was called back to the exam room at approx. 10:00am, I was back outside before 10:15am. Even though this was a routine Well Woman's visit, I expected more of an effort to connect with me as a brand new patient. I gave this experience three stars because the front desk staff was very kind. The receptionist gave me more insight about going through menopause than the doctor. Pleas keep your front desk staff, they are wonderful. I won't be back. Just as you screen patients before accepting them, please know you are being screened too. First impressions mean everything."
"I found Dr. Rodgers online. I’m currently pregnant with my first child and was expecting a completely different experience. That sad was not on the same same page, they confirmed one thing with me over the phone, and provide completely different information upon arrival. I only had two appointments, each appointment I had to wait over 45 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor. Each appointment was in the same room and the first time, it appeared it was crumbs on the floor, not sure exactly what it was. The second time, it was lubricant still on the internal probe on the ultrasound machine. I was completely disgusted and disappointed with the cleanliness overall. Dr. Rodgers herself, was not personable at all, she was rushing, she really didn’t ask questions at all. Also, the technology was old and outdated, as I stated I would’ve like a print out of my sonogram and she stated that the machine does not do printouts. The office was always extremely hard to get in contact with. I’ve had to call multiple times, before and if someone answered. Which make sense because when I was in the office both times, it’s more than one person behind the desk and atleast two of them are on their cellphones. I didn’t feel comfortable continuing my prenatal appointments there and I have left and went with another doctor. All of this was at the Greenbelt location. I hope they take this review into consideration and make proper adjustments. I wanted to support this business because it is black owned, however this is not the way to conduct medical business."
