"I try to have compassion for staff and whatever they go through…..with that being said it’s very hard at this hospital ‘s emergency room. The wait is unapologetically long. The front desk does little to field questions and all act as if they know absolutely nothing. They give very little compassion to younger people or elderly. Instead of trying to assuage a problem they are quick to argue and if not argue then just give the deer in the headlights look. In order to get any type of response you actually have to either get loud, throw a fit, cuss at someone or a combination of the three. Again, I do not understand all that they have to go through especially as the day leads to night but rest assured I will not allow this hospital to treat myself or my relatives again. It appears the only way I can post this is if I give at least 1 star……trust that they DO NOT deserve that star!"
"Went in for a quick surgical procedure at 5:30am. Registration was great, slight wait in surgical waiting room, then into pre-op area. Had to use a wheel chair since knees not working well, which was no problem for nurse. She got me prepped, dressed and in the bed in a friendly manner. Nurse came in, introduced herself and took all vital information. All nurses and doctors involved in my treatment introduced themselves. The best part for me was having India, RN, hold my hand while I went under. Completely calmed me down. Waking up in recovery and having someone sit with you the whole time while you recover was another plus. Second procedure at this hospital, and same experience both times."
"Emergency room visit. My wife arrived at approximately 9:30 am. It has been 5 hours and she still hasn’t been seen by a doctor. She went to triage and they mixed up her information and identity; which lead her to having her wrist band changed 5 times before they got her information correct. She went back for labs and an ultrasound. They believe that she has a ruptured cyst and a cyst on one of her ovaries. We are still waiting to hear from the radiologist. Half way through our wait, the entire waiting was told that they were at max capacity. However, the waiting room was approximately 75% full. Management and PG County Council Members need to make some serious changes. The sad thing is, I know after reading this all they are going to do is tell me to fill out a survey about my visit that they aren’t going to pay attention to."
"The wait time is something I can’t explain, I have been here for 7hours in the waiting room, with my mom, before she was able to be place in an exam room. The registration staff was very helpful and friendly to the both of us. Once in the room she is still waiting for hours before anyone came in the room. And we was told they were fully staff."
"This hospital is worse than greater southeast. The nurses and staff are rude and have no bedside manner. Well the nurses I have encountered. I don't know where great customer service and actually caring about your patients got lost but this is unexceptable and this hospital needs to be shut down. They need to do a special in hospitals snd how they clean. My mom got admitted and it took two days to get a hospital bed , they left her in ER until I walked in with scrubs and they moved her to a room. Her room was nasty looking it was blood on the doors, they had extra toilet seats in the bathroom , everytime she ate her trays was left in there all day. They stated they ran out of hospital gowns when in fact the nurse was just too damn lazy to go get one. Fyi responding to the messages and not changing the action of the hospital is pointless. Please let me know how does this happen?Georgetown, Sibley, Innova , Fairfax and John Hopkins would never. I will never in life bring my parents to this hospital ever again. It took her 3 hours to get discharged because the nurse went missing."
