About the KidZone Learning Center
KidZone Learning Center, located at 4375 Ebenezer Road in Nottingham, Maryland, is dedicated to serving the community with a commitment to excellence. Our center provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks at no extra cost, ensuring that your child is well-nourished throughout the day.
At KidZone, we prioritize safety with our secure computer program that uses a fingerprint scanner for check-ins and check-outs. Our facility is locked with KidZone-issued key tags, giving you peace of mind knowing that only authorized individuals can access the building.
We understand the importance of rest for young children, which is why we have a two-hour rest period each day. Children are encouraged to rest quietly during this time, promoting a healthy balance of activity and relaxation.
Outdoor play is essential for children's development, which is why each group has designated outside times in the morning and afternoon. In case of inclement weather, we have a multi-purpose room for indoor play.
KidZone is open Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm year-round, with the exception of major holidays. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and look forward to providing a nurturing and educational environment for your child.

Reviews of KidZone Learning Center
"This daycare will suffice for a child who has basic needs. The staff is incredibly inconsistent with teaching young children appropriate coping skills on an emotional and social level. Inclusion is non existent when a toddler has a melt down but the discipline and comments made to the very young children are condusive of creating turmoil and insecurity within a child. Most teachers complain about the children and being there and so oftentimes you can hear them being incredibly negative with the children. Comments like “wipe that look off of your face” to a 3 year old. When met with discontentment by a parent; the faculty and staff become incredibly defensive and disrespectful to the parent. When asking about specific credentials of the falcuty and staff; I was told it would be provided but those credential were never produced. Removing recess for an entire class of 3 year olds was used several times as a form of discipline. If your child has extra energy and requires a lot of stimulation to remain compliant and on task; this isn’t the center for you. If your child has any separation anxiety issues; this is most certainly not the place for your child. Consistency and positive reinforcement methods are severely lacking."
"This is an awesome daycare. The staff is very nice and they treated my kid like she was a star. Very clean as well."
"As parents, we all worry about our children. It seems like just yesterday when we came to Kidzone with our daughter and had a hard time leaving her in the care of others. We quickly found out that the individuals caring for her through out the day are a special group of people. To describe the environment at Kidzone I use the words: family, friendly, academic, structured, dedicated, and safe. The curriculum was focused on learning while having fun from the two-year-old program up through Pre-Kindergarten. As a parent and public school teacher, I give credit to the teachers and staff who have prepared my daughter for the high level math and reading skills that she will be faced with in elementary school. She has grown both academically and socially in the hands of her teachers. The teachers have certainly challenged her and reinforced problem solving skills to build her critical thinking. Kidzone has provided her with a solid core fundamental academic foundation. The repetition of the daily routine built confidence and promoted leadership in my child. The thing we feel is most significant is the dedicated staff. All of the teachers and staff that have worked with our daughter have always been positive and looking for ways to continually improve and educate the children. She always comes home with a new song to sing, yoga pose to show, sight words that she recognizes, etc. I know that Kidzone has helped shape her into a well-rounded child. Kidzone's directors, Mr. Larry and Mrs. Lisa have been very accommodating to our family. I appreciate their desire to build relationships with the families and the local elementary schools. We can tell that their number one priority are the children! Our daughter has been fortunate enough to have spent the last four years at Kidzone. We feel that Kidzone has given her the opportunity to experience that learning is fun at an early age. This is important as a baseline for her success as she continues her academic career. We will truly miss Kidzone now that she is entering Kindergarten, and would recommend this center to anyone looking for excellent childcare."
"I have never in my life seen a business so poorly run. The owner/director seems more worried about computer systems and new technology that he is not really paying attention to what is going on in the classrooms behind closed doors. I've seen kids mistreated and if I didn't see "it written in the handbook that we cant do that" then I guess it was ok as long as it was not technically a written rule that they not be mistreated the way that they are. There is always a blind eye to what "management" does not want to deal with and they are very close minded if it is brought to their attention. I understand that it is a business and you make money from said business but when you are handling other peoples children you have to be there more for the kids and I did not see that AT ALL... Grant it kid zone has SOME excellent employees but instead of trying to make the center and employees better for the children the main focus is put on ways to get more money and convenience like finger scanners. Kidzone has lost many employees over the past couple of months for a reason... so if you decide to send your child there be prepared for a lot of inconsistencies."
