Stephen took it, examined it, and polished it quickly, right then and there. He gave me exciting news (that its fine as is for now and to keep wearing it), knowledgeable information about it (like that it was oxidized turquoise, not the aventurine I thought it had been for all these years), and options for replacement if needed down the road.
