"I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review for a place until now. I’ve been to Apex 5+ times at this point and they are extremely unprofessional and condescending. Because of work, I’ve always scheduled the first available appointment (8:00am). I sit in the waiting room for 30minutes and watch all of the employees trickle in to the building during what’s supposed to be my appointment time. There are times I’ve sat there for 45minutes because they come in late every time. Once I’m seen, all they cared about was convincing me that I need crowns. Most of the appointments are having various people come in and say “well you want to keep your teeth, right?” - schedule me for crowns, then spend 10 minutes actually cleaning my teeth. At this point, I’ve had 4 crowns done by them - this past appointment just yesterday to have 2 done, while they were numbing they said that I suddenly have 3 cavities on other teeth without using X-rays or anything…. Even though I was here 2 weeks ago for my check up and they said everything looked completely healthy. Really aggravating and disappointing that they are taking advantage of so many unsuspecting people trying to take care of their teeth. So excited to find a new dentist."
"The worst dentist place,They will convince to eat your money and they are not professional at all. I went for deep cleaning, they were in rush and they didn’t do all my teeth good cleaning beside that they let me to seat 3hr. Will never recommend this place to Anyone"
"Terrible experience. I felt pressured to get work done every time I was there! They ended up pressuring me to get multiple crowns. They even opened early to get the procedure in before the end of the year. The insurance refused to pay because they said it was not needed given my medical records Apex submitted and Apex justification. The 2 crowns, completed at the same time, were botched and today I still have issues. I obtained other opinions which confirmed both were unnecessary dental work. Additionally, they would hound me constantly after I asked them to not contact me."
"This is my first review after almost 20 years on Google: The dentists and the staff here at Apex Dental Care appear to be very kind, and make you feel very welcome in their office. But it stops there. As many reviews have already established, they are predatory. They will find something wrong in almost every single visit, and they will pressure you to pay for it right away. It will normally come with a discount that is only available on that day. Then THIS happened: Apex Dental Care took things even a step further with my family, which I would argue to be fraudulent. The company recommended a crown for my wife and asked her to pay in advance of scheduling the crown. My wife declined the service, and I followed up with a phone call telling them we will not be scheduling the additional crown. Weeks later when my wife was having a separate crown service completed (not related to the one we declined), the staff presented her paperwork to sign and pay for a crown service. It wasn’t very clear, but this paperwork and payment was for the crown service we already declined. The confusion with my wife must have been obvious for the staff, particularly as my wife is not a native English speaker. Even after my wife questioned the paperwork, they still encouraged her to sign it. They pressured her “politely,” but clearly with malintent. She only realized what had happened after they started working on a second crown while she was in the dentist’s chair. By that time, it was too late. Afterward, I called them to complain. The company had a record of me speaking with them over the phone to decline the additional crown service, but since my wife signed the paperwork, they refused to refund any of our bill. We got stuck with an expensive crown that likely wasn’t necessary, and one that has changed my wife’s bite…so we will have to pay more somewhere else to get it fixed. We lost all trust in the dentists and staff at Apex Dental Care, and we DO NOT RECOMMEND."
"I wasn’t going to post this, but Apex has been calling me nonstop for the last three years even though I expressly asked them to not contact me again, so I’ll share my poor experiences with them. I started going here almost a decade ago, and they were great then. In the last few years, management switched and their practices have become predatory. I was told I had cavities that needed to be filled (a dentist at a different practice told me there were none). When I needed new retainers, I was told that one set of the lowest quality retainers would cost me almost $500, whereas my new dentist gave me four sets of the highest quality retainer for $400. Worst of all, I was told I needed all my wisdom teeth removed when none actually needed that, AND my procedure took much longer than it was supposed to because the dentist took a one hour long break between the first two teeth and the last two teeth. The local anesthetic started wearing off in that time so she had to reinject me. She did the procedure poorly too, as she had to split every tooth into quarters and cut the gums, which drastically prolonged my recovery time and put me in a lot of pain. It was irresponsible for her to have done the operation at all, as she should have sent me to someone experienced in oral surgeries. It has gotten to the point that other dentist offices have heard of Apex for its predatory practices. Apparently several patients at my new place have switched from Apex for this reason. Do not go here, and Apex — stop contacting me to come in for another exam, as I have expressed many times that I will not be returning."
