"Total professionals. Prompt apointment availability, timely arrivial, confirmation and en route calls, truck stocked with heavy duty tools. Well trained, solidly experienced journeyman plumber. Provided high-resolution, color camera inspection of my cast iron sewer line all the way to the main. Exceeded expectations. Bryant was personable, proficent, and professional. "I was scheduled on 1/24/24 with a window from 12-5pm. I received a phone call at 10:50am (i’m at work) and it was a lady on the phone asking if the technician could come earlier like 11:30am-12:00pm. My job is 7 minutes away from my house so I said yes that’s fine. At 11:02am (mind you i’m still at work), I received a ring on my call box that’s at the entrance of the building. I answered from my phone & I told Bernard, I was expecting him to be there at 11:30am-12pm but you are here 28 minutes early and I am at work. I can be there in the next 10 minutes (I still had to tell my boss I was taking my lunch break earlier than expected). I still let him in the building because it was cold outside and I didn’t want the guy standing out there. At 11:11am, I receive a phone call from the technician Bernard (9 minutes later) and he mentioned to me that he would wait inside his truck until I arrived. I told him no need for that, I will be arriving in the next 30 seconds. 30 seconds later, here I am parking and I wave at him through the window to let him know it’s me. I park, we great each other & head inside, it’s about 11:15am now. Bernard checked both of my mini splits, he let me know that the filters were dirty & that’s probably why I wasn’t getting any heat. The motor was going bad in living room mini split but don’t worry about replacing until it fully goes out. He also mentioned that I had the heat on the wrong setting in my bedroom which is also why the heat wasn’t working but overall my mini splits are fine for the moment. I would need a new motor in the future. He will also said he would send me an estimate for the motor to my email once he got the pricing & other information together. He cleaned the filters, put them back. Messed up my wall with his dirty fingers in the process of all this which I had him cleaning my wall with a cloth. It’s now 12:10pm (55 minutes since he stepped inside my place; he was packed up, ready to go & asking for the payment. The pricing is $125 for first 30 minutes & $45 every 15 minutes moving forward. Therefore my total should’ve been $215.95. Why did this man say I owed him $270 because his time starts once he arrives and he was outside waiting for me when he got here. Let’s not forget that he arrived at my house earlier than the timing that I was told (which is not my problem). He told me he needed to call his supervisor because I informed him that I am only paying him what the price is which is $215 not $270 because he decided to come earlier. I gave him $220 because I didn’t have change to make $215 and I headed back to work. Literally the same day, the digital portion on my mini split is no longer lighting up. I am assuming he did not wire it back correctly after taking it apart. The mini split in my living room, a piece is missing. It was not missing before he came to check unit out. It’s now been three days and I still haven’t received an estimate for the motor. I called CroppMetcalfe on 1/27 to complain and discuss the issues with the service just three days prior. I spoke with Lashawn, which she refused to give me her last name because “I don’t give my last name out”. She also informed me that he wanted $270 because he was outside waiting for me & I let her know again, that’s not my fault or problem that he arrived earlier than what was communicated. She told me she would send all this information to the team lead and they for sure will call me on Monday 1/29 to follow up about this issue. She also mentioned that he was at my house for an hour & 48 minutes which is a complete lie. With the time of him waiting outside til the time he left (11:02-12:15) that still doesn’t even add up to an hour & 20 minutes. I’m not sure where she got 1 hr 48 minutes from but they are just lying to get my money. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!"
"Terrible customer service! Waited 20 minutes just for them to pick up my call for a repair job. The receptionist would not and could not answer what I thought were basic questions about getting a technician out to my home. I would call any other plumber."
"We used this company twice in the last week. The first time they came to fix a drain in the tub. Not a week later, the shower faucet cartridge broke off in the wall. Technician came and had to use a drill to get the cartridge out (all YouTube videos for this say to be incredibly careful to NOT touch the brass valve). Once he replaced the cartridge, technician indicated that there was damage to the valve and then quoted me $1,200 to fix it indicating that I had to purchase not only the value, but a new shower faucet set, too. The valve was clearly damaged during the process of removing the cartridge with a significant amount of metal left in the tub. Connected with a different plumber who quoted a much lower cost to repair and indicated that we could keep our faucet and purchase only a new value. Update: called a local plumber to replace the valve. Confirmed that the valve was damaged by drill and only charged $450 to replace valve."
"Insanely expensive. I was quoted $2650 to replace a 50 gallon electric water heater which I ended up doing myself for about $800(bought the top of the line water heater) and three hours of my time. I was also told that I would be charged $86.95 for the estimate and ended up being charged $105.95. The plumber that came by was really nice and knowledgeable, but their prices just seem astronomical."
