"*update* Spoke with a manager who heard my concerns and didnt brush me off and assured me things would be addressed. Had one of their vans labeled "service division" run me off the road on route 208 near the BP station in lake anna virginia. Just wanted to call and leave a message about the whole thing as it was concerning for one of their empoyless to be driving so recklessly. Their automated systed is apparently broken and can not recieve a voicemail. Thats almost more infuriating than their reckless drivers."
"I am a caterer and I use EMR for maintaining my cooking equipment in good working condition. My rationale oven is important piece of my cooking equipment to produce hundreds of meals daily. Charles knows exactly what to do to take care of the issue. Friendly and professional. Rationale can only be maintained by approved vendor. Great job"
"There was something wrong with our grill and fryer in our restaurant and we thought it was because of gas. It had to happen when we had so many orders lined up. Plus it is the day before thanksgiving! I’ve called so many repair companies and they were all booked. Finally, I called EMR Commercial Kitchen Repair and they somehow managed to get me a nearby technician to come and take a look at the problem as soon as he’s finished with his previous appointments. Don Thompson was such a lifesaver!! He found the problem and fixed it and did an amazing job!! I highly recommend this company!!"
"Terming our experience with EMR as BAD will surely be an UNDERSTATEMENT. We called EMR to come out and service our commercial gas oven and got an estimate for about $1700 to replace the temperature controller after their tech's visit, who assured oven will start working once the part is replaced. Even though we already told the technician that the part he was going to change has already been replaced, he became very harsh and started arguing with the service technician who came to fix the oven. we were being told that we have to buy a new part from EMR for their technician to fix the problem. We agreed to pay $1350 (part cost) upfront. Technician came back to install the new part which didn't resolve the issue and the oven is still not working. Now we have received another estimate from EMR to replace the ignition module for a cost of $800 which might be the real fault in the oven. EMR"s techs are very rude and aggressive on their service calls, they try their best to intimidate the customers- leaving customer with no choice but to pay upfront and get stuck with unnecessary cost & frustration. SO FAR WE HAVE PAID almost $2300 for the part and technician visits. We also found out that during the very first , technician stole the piece conveyor belt and we ended up buying a new one on our own as the technician disregard our calls to discuss the issue. EMR's management team should train their service techs to be more professional, courteous and knowledgeable about the commercial appliances while collecting thousands of dollars from the customers upfront. At this point we have contacted their office and spoke with Ms. Brenda to refund our money within 24 hours..... We would NEVER recommend EMR to any of our business partners!!"
"2nd update: Thank you for the owner's prompt response. The guy who talked with me on the phone yesterday just called me and said he would return 0.25 hr of labor back to me. I think he knew about this rate. Update: Another review below totally makes sense. They force you to provide them with credit card information when requesting service and charge travel charge ($130) and minimum 1 hour labor charge ($130) in advance. Then they don't show up. No Refund! $260 net profit for nothing. What a great business model it is scammer! Original review: I asked a service for a counter top gas griddle. A technical came, stayed about 30min max for just inspection and left. But I got an invoice with $135 of travel charge and $162.50 of labor (1.25hr * $130). What? $297 for the 30min inspection? I called EMR and explained the upcharge for the labor. And the guy on the phone said, the GPS of the technician's device stayed there 1.25hr so the entire period counted for labor. Seriously? When does labor count for parking his car, going to bathroom, preparing paperwork and all thing? And he said, there would be 1 hour of minimum charge anyway so I was not going to save that much. What is the travel charge for then? His attitude was like this what we do so just take it. EMR is ripping off the small business like me. I would go Dauber, get a part and do it myself, or hire a side job."
